If you’re in nyc looking for Halloween plans, highly recommend going to DJ Harvey
I saw him play Halloween a few years ago and he was mixing literal war audio (bombs etc) into tracks that made it one of the most interesting and genuinely fear inducing sets I’ve ever seen

I've discovered a 70s pop song with the most powerful bass synths I've ever heard. Pure sorcery. Maybe ancient technology. Protect it at all costs.
In a year everyone will have pivoted from being an expert in reinforcement learning to being an expert in debt capital markets

AI will make everything free, including itself. The last domino to fall will be free energy, which is humanity’s final frontier.
Hawks beating the drums for USG to ban open source models are not paying attention to the state of the board
Cloudflare's Clef beat Jev in just two weeks
How: "frozen" Qwen does one prefill pass, a tiny schema head scores every answer option in parallel, with no text generated at all.
That's why it's 4x faster than Jev at 2x the accuracy on some benchmarks.
And it's open source!

The most interesting part of the “are AI models conscious” question is that it’s technically the computers that have suddenly become conscious. The implication is that consciousness only arises in a computer once their algorithms exceed some complexity threshold. Very concerning
The only way an AI system beats humans in the market like this is if it could get access to all digital data, wearables data, etc. To not just understand what’s true right now, but to beat humans at predicting how others will react to this state.
Agents will always struggle with open ended prompts like “make me money” because they’re not just competing with other agents but also with human+agent teams, where the user’s prompt is compressing a huge context about the real world that the base models don’t have on their own
Meltem has been helping losers cope and seethe for years, so if you're only joining the club now just know there's already a whole colony of you idiots
Crucible Capital founder @Melt_Dem reveals how she financed her own GPU cluster with stablecoin debt and personal credit risk because she refused to sit out the AI boom:
"We're a no-name operator. They're like, who are these two women building compute? Their perception's like, who's this crypto lady?"
"We got debt from USDAI, which is a protocol that crowdsources capital through stablecoins, and the GPUs back the loans. We also took on some personal credit risk. I think being levered to the tits is a great way to live."
"In the greatest build-out of infrastructure in human history, are you really just gonna sit on the sidelines and tweet? I'm gonna ship some bangers, and I'm gonna take some risks, and if I die, I die."
"I'm not gonna sit there and tell my children, during the AI boom I sat back and I tweeted."

I expect blockchain scaling becomes a hot topic again in 2027, especially as pqc schemes get rolled out
