I hope you watch my new podcast /“BIFF” with this week’s guest Rece Davis. Rece is such a fascinating and kind person. I really enjoyed our talk. You can find it on NewsNation or where ever you go for you casts. Thank you.
This talk about Kyle Whittingham being on the hot seat is absolutely astonishing and absurd. To all of the media who are reporting this and “ fans “ who are wanting this outcome / I think it is irresponsible by the media
To all of my Michigan friends. First ,GoBLUE. Second, no one is getting fired. Please relax. The team is 4-3. It is a new staff, a very good staff. The worst thing we can do as Michigan supporters is abandon the players and coaches when they struggle. It is exactly at this time that they need us most. Let’s see some support for all the coaches and players.
I think Wisconsin and Luke Fickell are a great story. Their AD and administration are to be congratulated for standing up to the mob who wanted Luke out. That took guts. Leadership is all about fearless leading. Happy for all involved.
When Kyle Whittingham talked about Indiana’s ranking and what that meant for his team, he was speaking as a coach to his team thru the media. He was encouraging his team who he knows is reeling. That was not him saying he is ok with the result. Sometimes the team needs to hear you say encouraging things thru various channels.

Check out my podcast with the great Ric Flair. Will be on BIFF tomorrow on YouTube a very fascinating discussion. Lmk your take.
I’m so impressed with these answers. This man is an excellent coach and this time next year all of the people that truly care about the team will be singing his praises. The guy can coach. PERIOD. MARATHON NOT A SPRINT.

I believe we will see a seminal moment in BiG10 football this weekend. Indiana - Nebraska , Iowa-Washington ( huge Iowa win)Things are doing to clear up. UCLA - Oregon. What we already know is OSU Elite
I had the pleasure of coaching at Michigan when Jake Butt was a great player. We were playing Florida State in the Orange Bowl, this was the beginning of great players opting out of bowl games to get ready for the draft. Jake would never opt out. He put it on the line like he always did. He got hurt on a catch and run to the goal line, the very same knee he hurt the season before. It cost him his draft status and ultimately a longer career. Never question Jake’s love for Michigan Football. EVER.
Michigan has too many good players and too many good coaches to not get this right. It looks bleak now, but I believe in these players and coaches. GoBlue. I chose to live in believing in this group of guys.
Lots of talk about the protect act. I was encouraged by a listener to do a call in show with the fans. Let’s hear their thoughts about this. Good idea?

My first podcast will be out on YouTube and the NewsNation site. Kirk Herbstreit is a fascinating guest as we talk about the state of college football. Lmk your feed back.
🏈On NewsNation’s new podcast “BIFF,” ESPN’s @KirkHerbstreit says college football “collectives” are all but “bribing" players, and it has him and former Michigan interim head coach @BiffPoggi worried about the future of college athletics. Watch the debut episode here: youtube.com/watch?v=E0NPjyE6…
What are your thoughts on the “ protect act” for college sports. I am concerned that it protects coaches, schools, ncaa and does a good job with that BUT the only group being asked to accept a cap , even tho it is higher than before are the players. I’m not sure this is fair. Let the free market determine the outcome. But it is incredibly complicated and all of the people who have worked on this legislation have truly put their best foot forward. We shall see
Well it is FIRE THE COACH and DEGRADE THE PLAYERS time of the season. The comments are so nasty and not what being a true fan is all about. This all changed with the advent of social media which has given “courage “ to many . My advice is to be positive, because your current behavior is embarrassing your parents.
I had the great pleasure of coaching Zeke Berry and knowing Zeke Berry. He has made so many great plays over his career and so many great plays today. He is a fabulous teammate and person. Having played and coached in hundreds and hundreds of games, you give your very best at all times. Zeke does that. We are all human. Remember what Jesus said was the second greatest commandment,” love and treat others as you wish to be treated.”
