Joining all in honoring the legacy of a great man and leader whom I was honored to meet these recent years as he accompanied our head of State to Beijing severally.
….out of the times I interacted with Baba, I vividly recall #UNGA79 when he gave me a free lecture on diplomacy, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly when I had been invited to speak at the youth centric “Summit of the future” in New York .
I have always carried with me those nuggets of wisdom that he shared. As a young leader, mentorship cannot be underrated and for that I celebrate you, Baba.

This week I have truly had a “full circle moment” participating in the Bilateral engagements with those I was in the private sector with such as my former master’s degree classmate DG Kibet, now at the National Treausry and also my Public Debt Sustainability “lecturer” and Senior Advisor to The President, Dr Haron Sirima showcasing the principle of time and growth through having the right circle of people who continuously sharpen one 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Amb. @Ijabril held a meeting with his #Spain counterpart Ambassador H.E. Jaime Moreno Bau @jaimemorenobau, at the Embassy of Spain @EmbEspKenia. The discussions focused on strengthening Somalia-Spain bilateral relations, expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest and exchanging views on regional and international developments.
The two Ambassadors also discussed opportunities to deepen collaboration and enhance coordination on shared priorities, reaffirming commitment to further strengthening the longstanding friendship and partnership between #Somalia and #Spain.

Bilateral & Friendship Ties.
On the sidelines of the 2026 Conference of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum, Executive Vice Minister, H.E Qi Yanjun hosted our Bilateral Meeting and I was honored to join the head of Kenya’s delegation in the engagement.
It was an opportunity to focus on info-sharing, capacity building, and smart, responsible tech for public safety.
I was keen on the agenda of cooperating on the emerging threats faced by youth being vulnerable to cyber security/ cyber fraud among others, that call for our urgent and collective action.

Kenya and China enjoy a long-standing partnership in security and law enforcement, particularly in police training and capacity building, counterterrorism cooperation and combating transnational organised crime, among other areas.
To strengthen our collaboration, I held bilateral talks with H.E. Qi Yanjun, Vice Minister for Public Security of the People’s Republic of China, in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, China.
The meeting, held at the Bayview Conference Centre, focused on enhancing our security cooperation, leveraging technology to combat emerging crimes, and enhancing collaboration in the fight against transnational organised crime.
I assured the Chinese Government of the safety and security of Chinese citizens living and working in Kenya, as well as Chinese contractors, personnel and assets involved in various infrastructure projects across the country.
I underscored our Government’s commitment to securing strategic projects, including the LAPSSET Corridor Project and the Horn of Africa Gateway Development Project, which are currently underway in Lamu and the North Eastern region.
On his part, the Vice Minister expressed confidence in our security efforts and pledged continued cooperation and support to the National Police Service.
I was accompanied by Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja, Kenya’s Chargé d’Affaires to China, @LynettemwendeL , Lemedeket, among other officials.

It was my absolute pleasure to spend an entire afternoon taking stock of a journey we began two years ago, together with PS of ICT, Engineer Tanui @tanuijohn to share a call of participation to the HICOOL Entrepreneurship Competition with our Kenyan innovators and Start ups, who subsequently submitted their applications.
As a young woman in STEM, I was very proud of the great strides made by KONZA’s team to walk this beautiful journey of submitting 33 applicants this year.
Meeting Mercy, one of the founders of a start up which made it to the quarter finals was the highlight of my engagement with the team as they paid me a courtesy call.
This youth innovators program offers a fantastic opportunity for innovators from all over the world to meet in Beijing and showcase their great ideas while also learning from each other and this knowledge sharing will help them grow tremendously in their craft.
We shall continue supporting our Kenyan start ups to participate in this annual event 🙌🏾🙌🏾 #VijanaNaOpportunities

After a few weeks of training, our Kenya House Special Chai ya nyumbani ☕️ definitely hits different and came through for the delegation that has been away from home!
I was really grateful when the young trainees reached out, led by Mr Kevin during their training program on Governance and Leadership which are being undertaken under the Forum of China Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Framework. The Beijing Action plan has developed various training modules for young leaders and also identified people to people exchanges as a key partnership action point. We hope more Kenyan youth will participate in this capacity building program #VijanaNaSkills 💪🏾 🙌🏾
Of course, I couldn’t have let them return home without getting some wisdom nuggets from H.E Amb Bett and we were grateful for the time accorded and mentorship session he gave us all. Karibuni Tena 🇨🇳
