From a photoshoot earlier this year, a black and white image of a ballerina performing a cambré en arrière.
"In ballet, cambré (French for “arched”) refers to an arching or bending of the upper body from the waist—forward, backward, or to the side—with the head and arms following the curve of the spine. The photo shows the classic dramatic C-curve of the back, head tilted upward, one arm extended, and the dancer on pointe, which is typical of a strong cambré back. (frenchfordancers.substack.co…...)"

I took about 50,000 photos through a 14" telescope last night to produce this: A hyper-detailed photo of the full moon. The fidelity of the photo was great enough to allow me to greatly enhance the color, revealing a hidden world of geological diversity.

Aaron Rodgers sat at that podium in Paris and said out loud what the corporate league office spends millions trying to sanitize.
The NFL talks endlessly about “player safety” and “expanding the global game.” But behind closed doors, owners scrapped player-friendly bye weeks, forced a brutal 17th regular-season game, and shipped franchises across oceans simply because there was another dollar to squeeze out of foreign TV markets.
While families and players navigate locked-down streets, civil tension, and grueling travel schedules, ownership sits in five-star suites counting international expansion checks.
Rodgers doesn't care about league fines anymore. He’s telling you the truth: in the modern NFL, the brand and the balance sheet come first. The humans on the field come second.

Bandwagon-5 this morning. Falcon 9 out of the Cape at 7:04. Rideshare. 32 payloads heading southeast.
Closer to sunrise than CRS-35 last week, so the sky wasn’t as dark but, you still get the jellyfish. Same trick though… The rocket is already in sunlight. We’re still in twilight on the ground. Exhaust turns to ice, spreads, and the sun lights it.
Difference here is you can actually read the different parts of the vehicle in some of these clearer since it’s lit up more than last week… here’s the sequence in reverse order from later to earlier in the launch.
First frame is the split. Bright one with the beam is second stage heading to orbit. The small glowing blob to the left is first stage, already done, going downrange to the droneship. Not a boostback to the Cape this time, so the booster stays in the same piece of sky as the upper stage for a bit. That’s why you get both in one shot. Plus, you see two dots which are the fairings falling back to earth.
Second frame, bright point on the right is second stage. The two little sparks under the plume is a fairing half catching the sun. They dump those right after the upper stage lights and then the first stage below with the thursters guiding it to landing on the drone ship
Third frame is second stage lighting. Merlin Vacuum in thin air. That’s the bulb. Exhaust has nothing to push against, so it blooms and the first stage is noticeably falling away.
The last frame is earlier in the launch when the stack is climbing but has seperated just tighter together. That bright tip is the seocnd stage. and you can see the fairings and booster falling away. Long sunlit trail behind it.
Same family of Jellyfish shots as last week. Similar to polar noctilucent clouds but Rocket exhaust in the upper atmosphere. Twilight phenomenon. Want to know when they’re happening, follow @spacejellyalert

Today was my first attempt at capturing a "Space Jellyfish" from a Florida based SpaceX launch. The launch time was moved from 6:30 AM to 7:04 AM around 5 AM. This moved the launch up against sunrise here in Cape Coral, Florida. Visibility was perfect today.
From a slight rise in my community, with this trajectory which transversed my entire line of sight I was able to view the launch from when it cleared the tree/horizon line to when it when out of sight in the Southeast sky. I shot these photos from approximately 160 miles from the launch site. I was able to capture from T+3:38 to T+7:08.
T+3:38 falls about 1 minute after the second-stage ignition and approximately 38 seconds after fairing separation, while the second stage is under power and climbing toward orbital insertion.
I am looking forward to trying this again and getting better at capturing this wonderful sight.

As a native of Rochester, NY I am proud of the heritage and impact that Eastman Kodak had on photography. I enjoy finding photography related articles that tell the story of Kodak's amazing accomplishments without glossing over its shortcomings. I found this article in @fstoppers and hope you will enjoy it.

A long-exposure view beneath the Venice Fishing Pier in Venice, Florida, reveals a striking corridor of weathered support beams extending toward the Gulf of America. Repeating pilings create strong symmetrical lines and a deep vanishing point, while the softened water reflects the warm gold, amber, and violet tones of the blue-hour sky. Photographed from directly under the pier, this low perspective transforms a familiar coastal landmark into an architectural seascape filled with texture, rhythm, and depth. The calm water and smooth long-exposure effect contrast with the rough, dark structure overhead, creating a quiet and atmospheric Florida beach scene.
