ATTENTION @GovUganda! you must take seriously the growing culture of hatred, intolerance and deliberate provocation in our society. If left unchecked, our country risks heading into an abnormal and dangerous situation where people feel free to attack religions, insult cultural institutions and Kingdoms like the so called Sheikh KITI, celebrate the deaths of others, and even falsely announce the living people as dead.
Freedom of expression is a constitutional right, but it must not become a licence to incite hatred, threaten others, spread malicious falsehoods or deliberately provoke communities. Respect for religion, culture, human dignity and the lives of fellow citizens must remain fundamental values in our country.
I therefore call upon the relevant authorities to investigate and, where the law has been violated, arrest and prosecute individuals responsible for such acts, regardless of their political, religious, social or other affiliations.
We must not wait for words of hatred to turn into physical violence and bloodshed before we act. Prevention is better than dealing with the consequences of division and disorder.
Uganda belongs to all of us. Let us protect our peace, respect one another's faith and culture, and ensure that the law applies equally to everyone.
A peaceful Uganda requires responsible citizens, responsible leaders and impartial enforcement of the law.

I agree with Hon. Kibedi Nsโegumire on the need to regulate the movement of trailers, SinoTrucks and other long commercial vehicles within Kampala City, especially during daytime.
These vehicles contribute significantly to traffic congestion, particularly in the city centre. Even more concerning is the habit of some drivers making turns at points where turning is not permitted or designed for such long vehicles, consequently blocking roads and inconveniencing other motorists.
I appeal to the Government, particularly the Ministry of Works and Transport and Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), to urgently look into this matter and introduce clear regulations.
My proposal is simple: Restrict the movement of trailers and other long heavy vehicles within the city centre during daytime and allow them to operate mainly at night, as practised in many developed urban centres, with appropriate safety measures and designated routes.
Alternatively, the Government should consider constructing dedicated underpasses, bypasses or other suitable infrastructure to accommodate these heavy vehicles without disrupting normal city traffic.
Kampala deserves better traffic management. We cannot continue allowing a few long vehicles to bring entire roads to a standstill when practical solutions can be implemented.
Itโs time for deliberate action, proper planning and modern traffic management.

My sincere appreciation to Minister @JustineNameere for bringing these issues into the public conversation. Ugandans deserve honesty and transparency from their leaders. When politicians publicly criticize the government and attack its leaders while allegedly maintaining private relationships and dealings with the same government.
The public deserves consistency between what leaders say in public and what they do behind closed doors. Thank you, Minister Nameere, for encouraging accountability and reminding Ugandans to look beyond political rhetoric and demand the truth.

A MESSAGE TO THE OPPOSITION AND THEIR LEADERS: STOP THE SUPERIORITY COMPLEX!
To our friends in the opposition and their leaders, it is time to abandon the superiority complex and understand that nobody has a monopoly on knowledge, intelligence, patriotism, or the right to make political choices.
You are not the ones feeding every Ugandan, and you do not own the minds of the people you claim to represent. Stop behaving as if those who disagree with you are ignorant or incapable of understanding what is happening in their own country. Every Ugandan has the right to think independently, choose their political side, and support whoever they believe deserves their support.
Yes, we can disagree to agree! We can belong to different political camps without disrespecting one another. We can debate ideas without turning political differences into personal hatred. Stop seeking relevance by belittling others or pretending that only your side has intelligent people.
Most importantly, stop believing that when an artist, comedian, DJ, actor, businessman, or any other public figure refuses to support your political cause, that person is suddenly useless, finished, or no longer relevant. Who gave you the authority to determine another personโs worth based on their political choices?
Some of these people worked hard, built their careers, entertained millions, and established their names long before you ever sought their political support. What exactly did you contribute to their success that makes you believe they owe you their allegiance? If you did not build their careers, finance their journey, or contribute to their achievements, why should their decision not to support you become a reason to attack or devalue them?
Political support is a personal choice, not a debt. An artist is free to support the opposition, the government, or no political side at all. The same freedom belongs to comedians, DJs, musicians, and every other citizen.
If you want peopleโs support, win their hearts through your ideas, conduct, service, and practical solutionsโnot through intimidation, insults, or entitlement.
Remember: disagreement does not mean ignorance, and refusing to support you does not mean someone has lost their relevance. You are not more important simply because you are a politician, and nobody becomes less valuable because they disagree with you.
Uganda belongs to all of us. Let us compete on ideas, respect individual choices, and practise politics with maturity and humility.
Stop the superiority complex. Stop acting as though you own the people. Stop deciding who is relevant based on political loyalty. We can disagree politically without disrespecting one another.
Real leadership does not demand that everyone follows you; it gives people a reason to choose you.

It is disappointing to see Uganda repeatedly being mentioned whenever Ebola cases are reported in other African countries. The question is simple: Why point fingers at Uganda instead of focusing on protecting your people and strengthening your healthcare systems?
Uganda is not the producer of Ebola, and no country should be blamed without credible scientific evidence. If Uganda has officially been declared Ebola-free by the World Health Organization (WHO), that status deserves to be respected, based on the WHOโs official findings and the specific period covered.
Ebola is a serious public health challenge that requires cooperation, scientific investigation, transparency, and collective responsibilityโnot accusations or the unnecessary spread of misinformation against other nations.
To our brothers and sisters in Kenya, Nigeria and other countries let us work together to protect our people. Where cases occur, let the priority be early detection, proper treatment, effective containment, and saving lives rather than pointing fingers at countries that have no confirmed cases.
Uganda is part of Africa, and an outbreak anywhere on our continent concerns all of us. We pray for the affected people, wish the patients a speedy recovery, and hope the affected countries overcome this tragedy.
Let us fight Ebola with science, solidarity, and responsibility not blame.
