Really interesting talk about the history of The Golden Lion in @cannonhillpark It was relocated from Deritend (Digbeth) in 1911 - so over 100 years ago - so the road could be widened. It was used as a cricket pavilion for many years.

Our building surveys are underway and one of the next to be undertaken is ‘dendrochronology’, which will allow us to accurately date the Golden Lion. In this short clip, we talk about which timbers are most likely original. #Birmingham
