Earlier this month, Tony Insall, author of Secret Alliances, celebrated the unveiling of the memorial statue Coastwatchers with HRH The Princess Royal and the Norwegian Foreign Minister in Oslo. The sculpture, created by Håkon Anton Fagerås, was commissioned by the Anglo-Norwegian Resistance Commemoration Project and pays tribute to the Norwegian agents that worked for the British Secret Intelligence Service and Special Operations Executive to liberate Norway from German occupation during WWII. If you’d like to read more about the Anglo-Norwegian resistance, Tony’s book is available for purchase on our website and Amazon: amazon.co.uk/Secret-Alliance… Photos: Erling Eikli @InsallTony
