Shaquille O'Neal pays emotional tribute to Ernie Johnson following his retirement announcement
"When I was a youngster, there were three guys as a basketball fan I loved to hear talk: Bill Raftery, Dick Vitale, and Ernie Johnson."
"I got the opportunity to come here and work for you, and I only came here because you were here. You are the controller of this thing people call a circus."
"Without you, it's going to be very, very difficult. I never thought this day would happen."
"I appreciate you, I love you, and thank you. We've had a lot of great years together, and thank you for everything, brother."

Gilbert Arenas on why the superstar players are getting hurt in the NBA:
“I said it season 1 and I’m going to say it again as a guy that’s a track runner and I’m looking at history of the game the early 2000s, 90s, 80s, 70s, 60s star players didn’t get hurt this much there’s a reason the star is getting hurt this much because what happens is if you’re not really training and getting in shape and you’re just letting them in their summer looking good come into the season bullsh*t through training camp and then go out in the game play against another superstar that superstar is going to go 100 for the first time and that is what happening.”
Demarcus Cousins says the NBA is moving towards where every good team has a plethora of guards:
“Even when you look at a team like San Antonio they have a bunch of guards, Minnesota a bunch of guards, OKC a bunch of guards. So I don’t know I think we all know it’s this a trending league but that could possibly be where the league is kind of going you want to have that extra layer of guards are that rotation of guards where basically when one group comes out the game don’t really change it stays exactly where it is.”

ON WR'S SOMOURIAN WINGO AND VANDREVIUS JACOBS PLAYING THEIR MOST SNAPS OF THE SEASON...
"That they're going to continue to get more snaps, and they've been proving it in practice. And I think that's something always keep in mind. We like to make sure that game day is never an experiment. It's a reflection of what guys have been able to show in practice, and then leading all the way to a walkthrough before we head out to the stadium, right? The mind's got to be locked in. They've got to be able to do things at a certain level, and they've been performing at a high level in practice, and they're in a group where other guys are performing at a high level as well. So, to keep our guys playing at optimal levels, it would be wise for us to continue to get them more reps without compromising the reps, also, of some some other guys that have been playing at a high level, so we feel like we have multiple starters at that position."
