ok safe to say binance is pwned
The biggest assets were approximately:
β’ 1.615B USDT
β’ 62.6M RLUSD
β’ 29,934 wBETH
β’ 11,372 XAUt
β’ 6.19M UNI
β’ 198.4M ENA
β’ 7.175T PEPE
β’ 27.8M USD1
β’ 2.26M LINK
β’ 127,853 AAVE
about $2.5B at the explorerβs prices.
1. The attacker deployed a delegate contract, 0x63e842b0...73e9c6fAe, from the relayer at 15:59 UTC.
2. About four hours later, the relayer submitted an EIP-7702 authorization transaction
That installed the malicious 7702 delegate code on Binance 14.
3. The relayer then made a call to Binance 14, executing the delegate code, and transferring Binance 14βs ETH and token balances.
4. The calldata is labeled sweep(address, address[]). The second argument is a list of recognizable token-contract addresses plus the zero-address (eth).
5. The same relayer later used the same delegate to move 780M USDC from Binance Hot Wallet 34 into the same pool
β’ The relayer 0x7C... was funded by three Tornado Cash 0.1 ETH withdrawals over the prior two days.
β’ The same pool also received 28,005.6 ETH from Binance 16 24 seconds after the main sweep.
β’ The pool then forwarded 195,460 ETH to a fresh, unlabeled EOA
β’ That EOA has only one transaction and currently holds the 195,460 ETH.
What's a bit unclear is why the relayer was needed in the first place. If they had the private keys to the Binance wallets, they could have just sent the assets out in an atomic bundle without needing a relayer at all.
So it seems likely that they didn't have the private keys and instead just had the 7702 auth signatures, which must have been phished somehow.
I think we can go ahead and assume DPRK.
Recently got introduced to this local voice-to-text thing, and it's really cool, and dare I say it, handy

The cypherpunks were warned this is direct & irreversible capture. The cypherpunks didnβt care. Because they thought theyβd privacymaxx their way through it. Sad. Tragic. Dumb.

Admin keys for Swell DAO's swETH and rswETH appear to be compromised (railway related?)
* Attackers are raising NAV by max 1% (unbacked) each hour
* Four malicious upgrade contracts have been deployed (although not queued yet through multisig) that could steal approx 2500 ETH

This story shows how hilariously broken online identity verification is from all relevant angles.
1. Your SSN, DOB, address history, etc. are sitting in countless data breaches and data-broker dumps. Theyβre cheap and widely available to basically anyone who looks.
2. KYC/AML mostly just checks that the data exists and matches a real person. It doesnβt confirm the person signing up is actually the real person behind that identity.
Result: Amanda Smith spent three nights in jail and now faces up to six years in prison over a $1,000 CashApp scam account opened with her SSN and DOB. It wasn't necessarily opened by her, and the phone, IP, device, address, and other details donβt match.
The funniest (and yes, saddest) part is CashApp wouldn't give her information about the account because she canβt prove sheβs the owner. Her personal info was good enough to open the account, but not good enough to access it in the future, apparently. To be clear, CashApp is likely just following the law here.
Anyway, we need to burn it all down and start fresh.
New: someone made a CashApp account in her name. She spent 3 nights in jail and now faces up to 6 years in prison
Amanda Smith was arrested because a scam led to a CashApp account in her name. But she says she didn't make it, and the data doesn't line up 404media.co/amanda-smith-opeβ¦

Everytime I go to an event or conference and mention Iβm the Alchemix founder, Iβm always hit with the same comment, something along the lines of βoh I used it back in the day and loved itβ
On one hand, it makes me happy that so many have had good experiences with us, but on the other hand, I am also frustrated that they havenβt checked out Alchemix lately.
The protocol has really matured and become so much more powerful and economically sound than prior iterations, offering a variety of safe and good yields that allow you to express a multitude of on chain positions.
So if you are one of the people, I urge you to give us a second look because we are all grown up now and can sustainably scale.

that feeling when you go to sign a txn and it turns out you wallet ext had updated so it wont connect to your hardware wallet, or your other brand hardware wallet, and so you go to the backup wallet ext, and that wont connect either, has an update, and wont update

Today I'm excited to announce wrapped Standard which allows you to bypass urc-5 even on uniswap.
No worries, it has a hook to use wrap it so aggregators will pick it up easy
Lolz brick it for royalties electric boogaloo
Replying to @standard_rsv
Malicious pools can be spun up that omits those mechanics. Trading activity can then migrate away from the pool the project was built around.
INDEX illustrates the scale. It launched with a 3% hook, yet a plain Uniswap v3 pool charging 1% has starved the entire protocol.
