• Apple Home Collection isn’t just expensive—every device is ugly and sterile
• Charging the same price for the HomeView with and without the woofer base is insane (and $130 for PoE is so stupid)
• Apple TV is great, but $300 is too much. Buy a Walmart Onn and put a custom launcher on it for $50
• HomePod mini is mid at any price

Microsoft Teams channel backup is finally coming!
Microsoft is developing a new backup and recovery capability for Microsoft Teams that will allow organizations to recover team and channel data to a previously known good state.
It will support Teams, Standard, Private, and Public channels, including underlying data such as files and messages exchanged in channels.
The supported retention period is 30 days.
The rollout is currently planned to start in December 2026.

Heads-up for Microsoft 365 admins in Switzerland (also France, Germany, Norway, Sweden): a new “Data Location” setting decides whether your data at rest stays in-country or can move to the wider EU Data Boundary.
It’s OFF by default. 🧵
Your data stays inside the EU Data Boundary either way. But if your DPO signed off on anything because “our data is stored in Switzerland”, that assumption expires on Dec 13 unless you act.
While you’re there, check Copilot “flex routing” too: on by default for EU/EFTA tenants since April 2026, it lets Copilot inference run outside the EU Data Boundary during peak demand.
Check yours before Dec 13.
