After Trump’s Michigan rally, I asked Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers 3 times about the president invoking 9/11 with Abdul El-Sayed’s candidacy. He did not respond. A staffer handed me a memo about the Muslim Brotherhood and another shielded Rogers with a folder
PORT HURON, Michigan - Trump waited only minutes to rip Abdul El-Sayed. The president said if El-Sayed is elected he will be the first US senator that needs to go through a metal detector.

PARK CITY, Kansas, Oct 19 (Reuters) - US President Donald Trump on Monday used violent unrest in France as an argument against Democrats in his battle to defend a Kansas Senate seat long held by Republicans but in danger of falling to his political opponents. w/@steveholland1 reuters.com/world/us/trump-w…
Economic concerns were palpable among Trump's most loyal supporters. “Being on disability, I don’t have much, but it seems like the prices are still going up and they need to come down. It feels like you’re having to search or hunt for food," said Monique Mullen, 59, a Republican voter from Hutchinson, Kansas, who takes care of her father.
A small bloc of protesters gathered near the arena, including James Nightingale, a self-described independent from Halstead, Kansas.
“I’m a farmer from Kansas and the Trump administration has decimated the farm economy in my area. Not only have his tariffs decimated our markets for grain sales, now he is bringing in imported beef from outside the country. What happened to ‘America First’?” he said.
Trump’s Kansas rally: thousands of attendees stood for hours, snaking through the parking lot. When they finally got inside around dinner time, they lined up for concessions—-until they were suddenly shut down by rally staff, as they wanted people to fill up the seats as the speakers started.
“They want everybody to sit down, that’s the problem,” the concession stand workers told yelling rallygoers. “When the White House tells you to do something, you gotta listen,” one staffer said.
After complaints, the concessions were reopened for “drinks only.”
Sen. Marshall started his speech calling “radical Islam” as the biggest threat. He then listed why his Democratic challenger, pastor Adam Hamilton, is “too woke” for Kansas, including his support for gay pride parades. The crowd booed.
Earlier, Kris Kobach, the state’s Republican AG, told the crowd “this is going to be one of the closest elections in our lifetimes, if the polls are right.”

Follow up: Trump, stumping at Alaska Senate rally, announced Taiwan will buy 30% of gas from the state's pipeline project.
In response, Taiwan said progress has been made but "specific investment arrangements, equity stakes and related terms will be determined through subsequent negotiations and commercial contract procedures."
