I recommend that you study. For years. Acting, improv, then vo. You will learn all of this with sufficient training.

I understand, this helps a ton, what agencies with clout would you recommend i look into?

Well, you can't will an audition to come to you. But if someone is casting a Marvel cartoon and you have an agent with the clout to get you the audition, of course you can audition. An actor lets an agent know what they are right for by virtue of their demo.
Replying to @BobBergen
@BobBergen quick question, follow up to my question yesterday, but do you truly mean it when you say anyone can audition,(i.e, I want to give Mysterio & Moon Knight a shot for a future Marvel cartoon, yet when I get a top agent like CESD or Atlas, how do I tell them)?

Of course. Anyone can audition for anything. I got my SAG card/first gig by auditioning when I was non-union. It's called a Taft-Hartley.

@BobBergen can SAG-E actors audition for anything they want should they get an opportunity for it, say if I get an opportunity to audition for a Marvel cartoon/Animated TV Series, would that be possible as a SAG-E guy when that time comes for me or not?

I rarely watch what I have done. Just too much of a perfectionist. I have no say on edits or what take is used. My joy is in the acting.

You’ve never seen the Cars movies? I did not see that coming.

Boy, not a clue. That was so long ago, and I've never seen it.
Question for @BobBergen: how many characters do you remember voicing for the Disney Pixar Cars projects?

I'm rarely at a loss for words. This is beyond sad. So young. So much ambition. My phone and texts have been non stop with friends and press asking me details. I have none and I don't want to speculate or spread gossip. The bottom line, this is oh so sad.

...that's the title of Mel Blanc's book. I do have a title of my own.....if the publisher approves. Keeping that, as well as the scoop within the book to myself for now. ;-)

If I may suggest a title: That's Not All, Folks.

No. The industry and agents changed too rapidly and made the book obsolete before it could get published. Right now I’m writing a memoir which should appeal to fans of mine, animation, and those interested in VO as I’m sharing lots of how to info.

Bob, I remember years ago you were thinking of writing a book about how to get an agent. Of course, things have changed a bit since then, but have you given up on that idea?

If this is could be answered on a social media post everyone would secure an agent. You learn all of this in your years of training, networking, rubbing elbows with major players. You also need to know what you want out of your career. Not all agents are created equal.

@BobBergen where do find an agent with clout to get me audition opportunities. is their anyone you’d recommend I look into?

If you represent the audience, and you do, and you think he's the bee's knees at vo, as I do, then he is not underrated. This word underrated is overrated. And overused. Also I might add that Jeff is as lovely a person as he is talented...and he is damn talented.
Replying to @BobBergen
Because he is a master of mimicry, his finest skill is that he makes himself invisible. When he does his job perfectly, the audience does not think, "Whoa, Jeff is really good," they just think, "That is Bugs." Same thing with his Don Rickles impression.

...then you don't think he's underrated.
Replying to @BobBergen
What I mean is he is really talented and legendary. One of my favorite actors who I have long known from Looney Tunes.

Um.....pretty sure you are. No one I know, from industry professionals to fans would say he is underrated. Just look at his body of work. You cannot achieve what Jeff has achieved by being underrated.
Replying to @BobBergen
@BobBergen Am I the only one who thinks Jeff Bergman is criminally underrated?

No one can answer that. Anyone who says, "Study with me & you will consistently book" is a charlatan. Now, to be able to compete you have to be a trained great actor, with brilliant demos & an agent with clout to get you audition opportunities.
Replying to @BobBergen
@BobBergen hey man, what do I have to do to be a consistent booking VO actor like Steve Blum, Fred Tatasciore & you once I join the union someday?

Buddy, your note means a lot! Thank you! I'm sure there will be more pig in my future. ;-)
Replying to @BobBergen
Eric Bauza may do a good job voicing Porky Pig, but he's not as good as you! You, Bob, are a true Porky, due to your excellent vocal performance! Never doubt it! You auditioned, and you showed them you had what it takes!
