Not necessarily dead. But would you want to be an EIC with non-psych administrators and some type of psych-ish committee looking over your every move? The offer to me and others to be interim EIC were insulting. So… maybe only NEARLY dead now but how could it reincarnate.

Natural experiment alert!
Golden, CO is experimenting with 32 hour work weeks for their police officers. Same pay, less hours, more efficiency.
We'll see what it does for their health!
Does anyone know of a service that could measure that? 😝

Congratulations and well-deserved, Mary. Now let’s get more Psychologists involved at AAAS and show why Francis Collins was correct in thinking perhaps NIH has underinvested in behavioral science.
APS asked would I "be willing to consider being a candidate" for Interim EIC of Perspectives; a position that would " be unique and have a different mandate than a regular EIC role."
I loved being EIC of PoPS. But interview? Limited mandate? Under constant scrutiny. No thanks.
