LAMOLA CALLS FOR RENEWED GLOBAL ACTION AGAINST RACISM
International Relations Minister Ronald Lamola has told the UN General Assembly that the world must strengthen its fight against racism, racial discrimination and xenophobia.
Speaking 25 years after the Durban Declaration was adopted, Lamola argued that racism remains embedded in institutions and social structures, and called for measures including truth-telling, reparations and the return of cultural artefacts.
