We just presented at YC S25 Demo Day today. Honestly the energy is insane - I now at the end of the YC batch understand why everyone says SF is the place to be if you're building a tech company or really any company... Met so many incredibly smart and successful people today and we haven't even stepped on stage to present yet. Got on the TBPN Livestream. Tons of buzz around our costumes. Ideas on what to build next and the opportunities that will open up. Everything is just crazy. The craziest thing is we almost said no to YC because we had good traction before the batch but honestly the hype, energy, benefits, people that come with doing YC is unmatched and inconceivable until you live it. Thank you Andrew Miklas for convincing us. If you want to a start a company I cannot recommend enough applying to YC - best decision we've made in a while for sure. It's wraps on the batch. This post is an underrepresentation of the energy we are feeling right now and there is no way I can tag everyone that was a part of the journey during the batch but thank you to everyone. 100% would do this again. Time to go to the MOON! Great hype speech and nice to meet you at the end of batch @garrytan!! @JerryQian_ @amiklas

This week @JerryQian_ and I ventured to Penticton, Canada, to stay with our good friend @jordantwestecom and his family. Personally, this trip really opened my eyes to how a successful business owner who just exited and is absolutely crushing it can also somehow hike a massive mountain every morning, sauna and cold plunge daily, walk his kids to school and in general have a lovely family with 4 kids and an awesome wife. You can hear someone talk about their life over a call. Spending a week in their home and seeing it firsthand hits differently. It really made me think about why we work so hard every day and what I actually want my life to look like in five to ten years. We talked a lot about growing @ReacherApp and the next phase, hiring great people, using AI MORE, life after an exit and steps to get there and getting out of the weeds in general. Here are some key learnings we had for founders and for running business with Jordan: 1. Founders must protect their time, delete delete delete as many things as possible to make time for the highest leverage activities 2. TRUST your team and people you delegate to to make decisions and be ok with them making mistakes 3. Spend more time on the leading indicators that influence results rather than lagging indicators 4. As Gary V says 24/7 CONTENT CONTENT CONTENT is the secret weapon of our time, the more content the better 5. Stay up to date on all the latest AI tools, try everything then trim the fat - This man is the most AI native guy I know and he lives in a small town middle of nowhere in Canada while we live in the AI capital of the world... 6. You're either a visionary or an implementor - pick what you naturally enjoy doing and are good at and run with it 7. As your role changes and you evolve your calendar and day to day activities need to change as well This was a good reminder of why we work so hard everyday what we want to achieve where we want to go and honestly Jordan and his family are where I strive to be in my own life in the next five to ten years. This was a really rare and amazing opportunity to spend a week living with a friend, business partner, family man and his whole family and see what it’s like. Gotta say it looks like a great life and I left Penticton feeling extremely inspired and motivated to absolutely CRUSH it. Thanks Jordan and the whole West family for welcoming us into your home!

Bureaucracy and getting permission to do every little thing is what slows down startups into slow moving large corporations Having trust in the team to make decisions and execute and NOT ask you for every little thing is what allows startups to move at INSANE speeds

We just launched the new P&L Calculator in Reacher! Before you run that TikTok Shop discount or put more into GMV Max, add your landed costs and test what it does to profit, down to the SKU. Live for shops with a synced TikTok Seller Center export.

Who pulled out of partnering last second with who? who publicly called out who? All I know is that both Slashy and Boardy won from the millions of impressions this viral moment generated from all the reshares and replies Any publicity is good publicity baby
didn’t know this was @slashapp’s new sales strategy but pretty sure this is how you lose customers and ruin your reputation

I’m joining Billy-Jo Simpson from nonsensical and Paul Baron on 3 November to talk through Black Friday planning for UK TikTok Shop. With a few weeks left, we’ll focus on what brands and sellers should have ready by now, and where to put the time they have left: - What to prioritise before peak trading starts - How creators and social visibility influence purchases - How to apply TikTok’s ACE framework to Black Friday planning We’re keeping it practical and unscripted. If you’re working on your UK TikTok Shop plans, come along and bring your questions. Tuesday 3 November · 4–5 pm GMT · 8–9 am PT · 11 am–12 pm ET Registration link in the first comment.

You’re already getting product demos, customer stories and fresh creative angles from TikTok creators. Some of that content could also help drive sales on your own website this BFCM. On Thursday, October 29, Paul Baron from @Reacherapp is speaking at the TikTok Shop Marketer Summit: BFCM Edition. His session, Beyond TikTok: Turning Creator Content into DTC Sales, will cover how to: Choose creator videos worth testing on Meta. Agree usage rights and adapt the content for paid ads. Connect the creative to your DTC offer and measure the return. The summit also covers BFCM offers, creator campaigns, content and paid media, with time for Q&A. October 29 · Full summit: 9 AM–1 PM PT / 12–4 PM ET Bring whoever handles creator content or paid social on your team. Registration link in the first comment.

I caught up with the founder and CEO of huez haus seoul at the Miami Health Summit and asked why he wanted to make the trip himself. His answer was pretty straightforward: he’s the founder. He needs to meet people and help them understand why they should love his product. I really liked that. When you’ve spent so much time building something, you have context that’s hard to squeeze into a creator brief. Why you started, whose problem you were trying to solve, which details you cared enough to get right. Getting in front of creators gives you a chance to explain those things, hear their questions, and see what actually interests them. That’s useful feedback for the next conversation, the next brief, and how you talk about the product yourself. Great meeting you, Daniel. And full credit for committing to the outfit 🤝

People are a lot more willing to meet with you if you happen to be in their city locally, I keep track of who lives where and even if they’ve ghosted me if I happen to be in their city I’ll hit them up for a coffee, 80% of the time they’re down Everyone loves in person time

I got invited to dinner with a guy whose grandpa literally drew the border lines of a majority of the gulf states Why did I get invited? Cause I happened to be chatting and got along with one of his friends and as they were heading out they just told me to come along too lol
