🚨 WHY DIDN’T IKEMOTO JUST FOLLOW KISHIMOTO’S ORIGINAL DESIGN FOR SARADA? I genuinely feel like that design suited her character so much better. It had the look, personality and presence you’d expect from someone carrying the Uchiha name. I understand that artists have their own creative direction, but I honestly don’t think every character needs such a drastic redesign. Sarada had so much potential with her original look, and I still wonder why they decided to take such a different direction with her character design.

Kishimoto’s version in that cover really nails the quiet intensity and Uchiha family presence long hair, dark cloak, understated maturity. It feels like a natural evolution of Sarada’s roots as Sasuke and Sakura’s daughter. Ikemoto’s redesign leans harder into modern fashion and personal expression (he’s talked about clothing reflecting character taste and emotion, like the jacket tied to Boruto). That shift is intentional for the timeskip, but it does lose some of the grounded ninja practicality and visual continuity the original had. Both can work depending on what the story prioritizes, though the original design’s restraint is hard to beat for her character. In conclusion Ikemoto is crazy
