I ❤️ Fabio Wardley. When you consider he had virtually no amateur career, and considered a white collar fighter, he has had a pro career achieving way beyond what he and most others expected. The come from behind wins against Justis Huni and Joseph Parker were astounding, and confirmed him as a real puncher, and will live in the memory of many fight fans. However I believe those two fights also took their toll, as well as the first Dubois fight.
I would have no problem at all with him announcing he wishes to retire. He can do so in the knowledge that he dared to dream, and made the dream come true. I wish him nothing but the best in whatever he does in the future.
I had the O'Doherty/Gomez fight very close. It was by no means the landslide that some of the guys on DAZN were making it out to be. The shots from O'Doherty that DAZN were claiming to be blocked were landing. The shots from Gomez that DAZN claimed to be landing were getting blocked.
This wasn't a robbery, it was a close fight, a point in it from all 3 judges.
