Of course, I’m excited to see Blake here. But COT DAMN, Trent Williams. I’m 42, and sometimes my back locks up form back-to-back dog walks.
Lowest pressure rate allowed in 1-on-1 pass pro matchups this season, per @NextGenStats:
1. Trent Williams – 3.2%
2. Amarius Mims – 3.9%
3. Garett Bolles – 4.7%
4. Blake Miller – 6.0%
5. Christian Darrisaw – 6.5%
6. Colton McKivitz – 6.7%
7. Kahlil Benson – 6.9%

Everything and then some.

Jared Goff’s toughness in the pocket remains impressive as hell. What a throw.

Dan Campbell said he's a little bit like Uncle Buck's fedora when it comes to going for it on fourth downs. Amazing comparison. No other coach has that depth.

There were a lot of opinions on Cade Mays' debut, but offensive line play is too nuanced to assess live. Last night and this morning, I scoured his 68 snaps from the end zone angle of the All-22 film and came away plenty encouraged by what I saw: detroitfootball.net/p/detroi…

A reoccurring theme with Campbell. He’s not a number-cruncher, but his gut instinct often aligns with the analytics. It’s a rare talent that stems from all of his experience as a player and coach.
Despite making the analytically favorable call to go for it on fourth down late in yesterday’s win against the #Packers, Dan Campbell said there was no data involved in his decision-making process.
Just wanted to put the game in Jared Goff’s hands instead of Jordan Love’s.

Jared Goff now leads all quarterbacks in success rate.
No pass play through seven weeks has been more likely to produce a positive result than a Goff dropback.

I wonder who is right. Mike Tomlin or Pete Prisco and Damien Harris?

MVP Candidate
Jared Goff has thrown more touchdowns (14) than he has taken sacks (12), and his next interception will be his first since January. Averaging 9.3 yards/dropback when operating play action.
Reflex has so often been to credit his play callers over the years. Maybe he's just good.

Cade Mays was tossing bodies around on that opening drive, especially in pass protection. Which is why they signed him. Looked angry to have missed six games. Good start.

This timeline is scary. I had a good friend pass after flying with an unknown blood clot. God speed, Mr. Hurts.
Breaking: #Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is out for Sunday due to a superficial blood clot.
Full statement from the #Eagles on QB Jalen Hurts:
“On Thursday, October 8th, Jalen visited the training room after practice requesting treatment for his calf. He informed the medical staff he had been cleated during the Rams game on October 4th. This was his first treatment session for the calf injury following the game, after having practiced in full both Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, Jalen received treatment, practiced in full, and was added to the practice report.
“Out of an abundance of caution, an ultrasound was performed on Saturday following the team’s flight to London and walkthrough. The ultrasound revealed a superficial blood clot. Our medical staff and doctors in London reviewed the results and concluded that activity and mobility were important and that Jalen could safely play. Doctors recommended a follow-up ultrasound within 72 hours of the game and the return flight to Philadelphia.
“Jalen played without limitation in the game Sunday, received treatment on Monday and Tuesday, and practiced in full on Wednesday, as reflected in the practice report. Throughout our time in London and this week, we have remained in communication with the league office regarding the matter.
"On Wednesday night, a follow-up ultrasound revealed movement in the small blood clot. Jalen will be out for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers as we determine the appropriate course of treatment. His health and safety are our highest priority.”
