Hey @grok why is the x algorithm so bad at content distribution?
Day 7/
Connecting with 1000 people.
If you're seeing this, the algorithm wants us to connect!
So if you're a founder, a tech/techie, a dev, building in public, or self identifying cool person. Follow, comment 👇️and make a real connection!
It's crazy that OpenAI allows their Dots to be so far behind other agent bots like Grok Bot and Muse.
Apparently we ALL should've invested in RAM instead of gold! Thanks AI,👍...
A 64GB DDR5 kit appreciated approximately 15.6 times as much as gold in percentage terms over that period.
When developing with AI, an AGENTS.md file can save you from explaining the same things to your coding agent over and over. But having the right instructions is even more important.
One instruction I add to my projects:
"Prefer the simplest solution that solves the problem. Avoid unnecessary abstractions, extra files, and changes outside the requested scope."
It will help prevent overengineering and save you time and tokens. The best solution is the one that is correct and efficient.
Day 6 /
On a mission to connect with 1,000 people!
Founders, developers, creators, techies, finance/business, and interesting people. Let’s connect now!
Follow me, introduce yourself, and find someone new in the replies. See ya soon!
Day 5/
Connecting with 1000 people.
Right now, let's connect if you're a founder, into tech, a dev, building in public, or just a cool person.
See you in the comments!
I see this over and over again... Don't be this developer!
App developers forget to think about the device their apps are used on. For instance, mobile devices cut in/out of having internet all the time.
Someone can be on a train, walk into an elevator, or switch from Wi-Fi to cellular halfway through saving something. Their phone still shows signal. Your request still fails.
Don’t make them start over...
Save their action locally first. Show them it’s saved and waiting to sync. Then retry in the background when the app has an opportunity, using exponential backoff with jitter so you’re not hammering the server or their device's battery!
Give each queued action an idempotency key (new word of the day 🤓️), and have the server check it before applying the action. That way, a retry won’t apply it twice. And don’t remove it from the queue until the server confirms it.
A good offline experience isn’t just what just works without internet. It’s an app that doesn’t lose your work when the connection can’t make up its mind and makes the user's experience seamless.
Day 4/
Connecting with 1000 people.
I build software, games, and businesses. If you're someone who makes a timeline worth opening, do me a favor, let's connect!
Why is it that i can only snooze topics like politics for 24 hours on X?
I just want to turn it off! Is anyone else with me on this?
Day 3/
Connecting with 1000 people & Happy Halloween!
If you're a founder or tech/building in public/investing/or just a great human being, connect with me!
I encourage you to find others in the comments, hop in and make a connection too!
