Tim Sweeney is taking another shot at Steam. The Epic Games CEO claims Valve has “held gaming back for years” by locking PC games into Steamworks’ ecosystem. Sweeney argues that Steam’s social features make it harder for players on PC to communicate cross-platform while also criticizing Steam’s 30% cut. However, that claim isn’t completely accurate. Valve’s Steam Datagram Relay can also be used across other platforms.

The Australian Epic v Apple antitrust remedies were just issued, and are a huge victory for consumers and developers. We are studying the verdict and will share more soon. The Court has freed Fortnite in Australia and it will return alongside the Epic Games Store…soon.
