I keep hearing AI can edit videos well. Look inside: > 95% talking head narration of podcast > jump cut, jump cut, jump cut > punch zoom every 10s > giant streaming captions Meh? Wake me when it can actually edit 100hrs of b-roll, five audio tracks and multiple takes

And I say that as someone that would love to let the clankers do a rough edit for me! That step takes ages and is super tedious. But right now all the hype feels like AI influencer grifters excited about poorly-edited podcast footage🫤

My experience trying to get a sensitive photodiode + TIA working: 1. photons get into everything 2. connections need to be approximately 0mm long to keep noise to a minimum. Better yet make the lengths imaginary just to be safe. 😐

Ads rates vary hugely across niches. I don't know anything about trading cards, but I assume videos monetize well In contrast, science/engineering can be quite low. I have 580k subs. This video is 20min long, 2.5m views. $6k revenue over two years Not all channels make bank 😐

This is not specifically about jaiden but YouTube pays way more than most YouTubers would want you to know. I have like 12k subs and the revenue covers my rent/food etc. this is not a brag post, please never feel compelled to give money to YouTubers outside the ad revenue.

This is neat. Electrostatic so needs high voltage (2-3kV) and not very strong. But simple, flexible and can probably be scaled down more which would benefit the physics Looks more practical than other electrostatic motors I've seen. youtube.com/watch?v=lANIMRoO…

hate to say it folks but the runners might be right 🥴 Been training for two months, first race under my belt. Not an amazing time but I'm hooked! I've really noticed improved mood, clarity, health since starting. Those runners weren't lying! Such a tragic revelation 🫠
