Another week of “MAGA-coded” CBS News? Once again, more liberal agenda anti-Trump stories on @60Minutes, including first piece from @GiannaToboni who came over from the left-wing Vice News, on plight of illegal immigrants being deported to countries other than their own.

“I get you guys want to defend this guy.” @MikeRogersForMI: “I wish you would have done this for Abdul El Sayed. That would have been a great interview. But what you’re doing now is trying to twist this thing to defend your position for letting him lie to you.” @kwelkernbc: “I don’t have a position.” Welker earlier: “Congressman, he has denied and denounced the Muslim Brotherhood and denied any ties to them.”

Without bothering to mention the dirty trick of putting a second “Dan Sullivan” on the ballot, ABC’s @JonKarl denounced President Trump for undermining “a fundamental American value that justice is administered without regard to politics.” On @ThisWeekABC: “On Thursday, the Justice Department sued to block Alaska from certifying its Senate race if the Republican incumbent loses. Asked about that on Friday, the President said, quote, ‘I’m the one that said do it.’ That’s an extraordinary statement for a President to make. It runs against a fundamental American value that justice is administered without regard to politics, that the Justice Department doesn’t interfere in elections.”

MAGA-coded CBS News?? Same old @60Minutes tonight. First story from Lesley Stahl: “With the mid-terms two weeks away, state election officials across the country are being threatened” by the Trump administration. Followed by: “The war with Iran is cutting off a resource critical for nearly every modern product we make: Helium. No helium, no new cell phones, no MRI machines, no missiles...”

From my Saturday in Philadelphia. NPS' Independence Park has quite a bit of focus on slavery, starting with an Obama quote on side of an "enclosed space" listing nations where slaves sourced. Plus, multiple panels about slavery and the Founding Fathers and/or Constitution.

In the full interview posted online, @kwelkernbc forwarded another Kamala Harris proposal to @AbdulElSayed: “Former Vice President Harris has called on Democrats to expand the Supreme Court from nine to thirteen justices the next time Democrats have full control of government. Would you vote to expand the Supreme Court?” (Answer: Yes.) FWIW, this question came before the “too big to fail” one which aired on the broadcast Meet the Press.

NBC’s @kwelkernbc relayed to @AbdulElSayed some Kamala Harris fearmongering: “You recently campaigned with former Vice President Harris, who said ‘Democrats have got to turn out the votes in large numbers, we’ve got to be too big to rig.’ Do you agree that Democrats need to make the election, quote, ‘too big to rig’?”

ABC’s @JonKarl cues up Kansas Democratic Senate candidate @RevAdamHamilton: “I’ve heard you say, I think it is, ‘I am a liberal and I am a conservative.’ What do you mean by that?” Hamilton: “To be liberal means to be generous of spirit and open to seeing things with new eyes. Everybody should be that. To be conservative means to be, to hold on to things that are treasures, that conserve values. Everybody should be that.”

In this story about NH Senate race, on page A3 of Sunday's @WashingtonPost, shoddy reporter @benbinday relayed Dem talking point as fact: “He [Republican John Sununu] backed Trump’s signature domestic legislation, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, that cut social services and other spending to fund tax cuts largely benefiting the wealthy.” Fact Check: False. Entitlement/social program spending continues to soar in BBB and taxes were not "cut" for wealthy; the rates set in 2017 for ten years were just extended for everyone at all income levels.

“We can go to the President for this one.” On @ThisWeekABC, @mcottle of NY Times blames Trump for Cornell incident: “You can’t send those messages, no matter how drunk you are as a frat boy, without having some kind of misunderstanding about what women are there for and whether this is a real person you’re dealing with. And that, I think starts, you know, we can go to the President for this one. I mean, we are in a moment in this culture where the glorification of being thuggish and swaggering and mistreating women is kind of making you a cool kid.”
