You were warned Ontario. @fordnation started destroying healthcare in 2018. If you want our healthcare back you need to fight for it, and vote for it. Sitting at home during provincial elections hurts us all.
Report: Ontario spent $4 billion over 8 years on private facility funding, which has been increasing faster than funding for hospitals. The effect on wait times? They’re rising. ctvnews.ca/toronto/article/w… @CTVNews

We’re keeping our promise to fight gridlock and get people moving again.
Bike lanes are coming off Ontario’s busiest streets and going back onto side streets, where they belong.

To understand what Ford is doing you have to remember his is a conservative. His base line objective is to move tax dollars into private business. Everything he does is based on that goal. Privatization is not just about services. It is also about contracts, supplies, everything.
A few pics of last night's "blood moon," using my Canon Power Shot on a tripod, shot from my street in the Leslieville neighbourhood (that's my excuse, anyway!).
About 11 pm, and the moon is about half-covered.
About midnight, and the eclipse is showing that eerie copper colour.

A few days ago, the RW Influencers were spamming out telling us how badly Carney caved.
The word "capitulation" was being spammed. Which was hilarious to watch in of itself...
Caved, bent over, bent the knee, elbows down, all we heard... For days...
What was that based on? Clearly they made that all up to take shots at Carney.
There was no deal, therefore no capitulation. None. But, they assumed a deal was in place and they were getting ready to complain about it.
It just shows the details don't matter. Whatever the deal is, they're going to call it bad and go after Carney.
It's so obvious they have zero integrity and zero interest in the truth.
What an effect!
Fall sunlight, filtering through the tail-lights of the car parked outside my place, sent a literal blood-red beam across my bedroom door. Wow.

Provincial by-elections are coming up. Remember this when you vote:
☑️Doug gave a strip club $10M of YOUR taxpayer $
☑️He’s on a 5 month summer break until Halloween
☑️He changed FOI laws to keep his cell records secret so we wouldn’t know what he’s up to⤵️

I guess the ‘Protect Ontario’ thing was more of an advertising concept than actually protecting anything. Hundreds of millions to ad agencies and not to the upgrade of fire crews & equipment. We’re being led by a mindless, self serving oaf.
This. Now. 3.2 km from a new forest fire.
Northwestern Ont. where new fires continue. Never enough fire crews. But sure, let @DougFord have his BB airport expan, luxury jet. Some Northern Ont shield you have Doug!

Hallway healthcare, now chair medicine; the promotion of alcohol drinking above all; mismanagement of addictions, poor public health surveillance and glacial hospital and LTC bed roll-out are part of that 8 year record. @spaikin
Eight years ago today, Doug Ford was sworn in as Ontario's 26th premier by Lt. Gov. @LizDowdeswell. #onpoli @fordnation @OntarioPCParty
Today's word: PAREIDOLIA, the instinct of seeing familiar patterns in everyday objects.
Is it a squashed coffee cup lid - or a screaming face? Or...both? (cue Twilight Zone theme).😱

Ontario government protects Ontario government by not saying what Ontario government is spending to tell taxpayers how the Ontario government is protecting Ontario.

Shockingly, this is at a hospital in the GTA.
Let me be very clear,
this is NOT the fault of nurses, PSWs, or cleaning staff.
They are doing everything they can to hold together a public health care system that is being pushed to its limits.
This is what happens when public health care is underfunded.
I’m a senior. I paid into public health care my entire life.
My parents relied on it and they received quality, dignified care.
So why are we being asked to accept less from the same public health care system today?
What changed?
Years of cuts.
And let’s be honest since Doug Ford was elected, it’s been cut after cut after cut to public health care system.
• Hospital funding not keeping up with inflation
• Staffing shortages across public health care
• Wage caps on nurses and health care workers (Bill 124)
• Burnout driving people out of public health care
• ER closures due to lack of staff
• Expansion of private clinics instead of strengthening public health care
And now we’re seeing the consequences.
A public health care system stretched beyond capacity.
Hallway medicine.
Long wait times.
Exhausted staff doing everything they can to keep our health care functioning.
This is not a failure of workers.
This is a failure to protect out healthcare.
And instead of rebuilding public health care, Doug Ford is moving toward privatized delivery that only serves his rich friends and family.
And we’re seeing the same thing in our Public Education.
Cut.
Underfund.
Strain the system.
We should not accept that.
We don’t need less public health care.
We need to fund it, protect it, and rebuild it.
Because every Canadian no matter their income deserves strong, reliable public health care.
This is about dignity.
This is about fairness.
This is about the future of public health care in this country.

Since we’re talking about how “transparent” Doug Ford has been as Premier for the last 8 years and his plans to exempt himself from past & future FOI requests, let’s look at some of the secret deals he’s made. The deals we know of, that is.🤫

More and more I think Billy Bishop is a distraction tactic.
1. Because it's not feasible: Doug has no authority to unilaterally designate it for jets, that's federal.
2. A recent poll showed the PCs falling.
Doug wants us talking about Billy Bishop instead of OSAP, health system collapse and his corruption under police investigation.
