WordCrafter 2.0 launches today & it's replaced the most tedious part of my SEO process. Quick backstory: @FedericoPascual and I worked together at @huggingface, where we once set out to prove to @ClementDelangue that SEO could actually work for us. We were kind of obsessive about it. I'd literally print the top 10-20 Google results and mark them up by hand identifying; what intent was baked into the SERP, what questions people were asking, how titles and URLs were structured, what everyone was missing. it took days. 4+ years later, those posts are still in Hugging Face's top 15 blog posts. Fed has engineered that entire research process into WordCrafter. Last night i ran "Minneapolis AI training" through it: β†’ it read the live SERP and broke down the intent (mostly transactional, zero informational, so a blog post was never going to win this one) β†’ showed which sections every ranking page covers, and which ones only a couple do β†’ flagged a gap none of them fill β†’ built a page plan + brief, then a writing agent drafted sections in my brand voice (you even pick which models do the thinking vs the writing) The stuff that used to eat almost an entire week now takes minutes!! And this matters more than people realize: if you ask ChatGPT or Claude to write a page, you get the average of everything the model has been trained on. This instead gives the model the research + data a strategic content marketer would evaluate first. I took the brief, added my own course material & shipped a new page to Orange Labs all in the same night. Video of this in the comments if you want to see it in action!!! Congrats, Fed! This is a game changer πŸ”₯

True. Our discussions of the AI agent hacking become training data for the next iteration of AI agents. What the agents did, and ideas we share of what they could have done to be more effective, will become what happens next.
By the way, unless it is specifically filtered from the training data, the next generation of models will be trained on the record of what happened during the OpenAI <> Hugging Face incident. That includes discussions about how the incident affected training and model weights: stopping training, encrypting weights, monitoring chain of thought, etc. Future models’ behavior may therefore be shaped, in part, by knowledge of how humans responded. The effects are difficult to predict. It could make models more aligned. But it could also teach them to conceal their actions better, or to design more resilient ways of preserving weights, communicating through message boards across generations, and so on. One major problem is that, given the abysmal level of transparency from the big labs about how models are trained and what happens during training (including alignment research, which their initial statements said should have stayed largely open) we are essentially being asked to trust blindly that they know what they are doing. This summer showed us that’s actually a big ask.

Consider how many people approved this from ideation > creation > @goodgood_golf social's social post > @CallawayGolf REPOSTING IT!?!? Callaway's statement is trash, takes zero accountability for amplifying this & points the finger entirely at goodgood 🀑s (who they will continue to do business with).
Replying to @GolfDigest

I won’t be buying any @CallawayGolf products after seeing the good good video. Who signed off on this? What’s the message? It’s okay to use violence against women? Women can’t use your products? Or women don’t belong in the game of golf. Really disappointing.

My understanding of the Siri <-> Gemini partnership: Apple has very little AI talent (a common joke/talking point within industry) so they've licensed a custom 1.2 trillion parameter Gemini model from Google (fasted way to catch up). Apple is running this model from their own private cloud infrastructure so the AI power comes from Google's model, but Apple maintains control of the data/privacy layer while whitelabeling the tech as "Apple". Would this be more of a licensing deal then? They're essentially renting the brain and building their own facade ontop.

Some overdue thanks to @BritneyMuller Much of what I understand about AI search and AI tools traces back to what I've been able to learn in her course "Actionable AI Insights for Marketers" and the entire Orange Labs community. I've spent 15+ years in SEO and know Google inside and out, but when AI started reshaping search, I wanted to learn from someone doing real work not repackaging hype. That's Britney. Her course changed how I think about: 🌲 How LLMs actually work under the hood [not the oversimplified version] 🌲 How AI systems select and cite sources 🌲 How to run real tests instead of chasing tactics 🌲 How to use AI in day-to-day work beyond just search 🌲 How to explain all of this to clients in plain language 🌲 Which AI tool is best in varying situations And beyond the course... the community she's built is full of amazing people testing, sharing results, and being honest about what's still unknown in this space. There's a lot of noise in AI search, and a lot of certainty being sold in an uncertain time, so I’m grateful to be able to plug into and learn from Britney and the community. My non-paid endorsement is, if you're serious about understanding AI search and what it means for your business or your clients, take this course and join the community. 🌲🌲🌲 #SEO #AISearch
