ALT A Broads Authority notice headed “Navigation Restrictions and Closure due to Dredging Works on the River Yare and Chet”. The notice explains that dredging will take place between November 2026 and May 2027 at locations along the River Yare, New Cut, Turntide Jetty and River Chet. An update confirms that the entire River Chet will be closed to navigation from 22 February to 26 March 2027, Monday to Friday, between 08:00 and 16:00. Previously planned closures in April and May have been cancelled. Navigation will reopen outside working hours, and boat users are advised to exercise caution near dredging vessels elsewhere.
