I’ve given Larkin the benefit of the doubt the entire time because who knows what went on behind closed doors. But quitting on your teammates a 2nd time is just so soft. Hopefully this works out for the Red Wings in the end. They’re played solid hockey, need to wrap this saga up.

He's playing 20 minutes per night, and he's top-30 in the NHL in Offense-Generating Plays/GP. 7.9 on-ice SH% and a 28.6% IPP(‼️) are holding him back. He'll never be a big goal-scorer, but the assists are coming; it's just a run of bad luck.

Met some of the beer league teammates at the Wild Wing at the rink here in Toronto. World Series on. Monday Night Football on. Bar can’t get Leafs-Flames. Six pad arena that has easier access to out-of-market pro football and pro baseball than the local pro hockey team. Tables keep asking for it, bartenders keep scrolling through their huge cable package. No dice. The NHL should view this as a big problem for the sport.
