At Barca-Girona match with Cesar and Jose Richard from Colombia. Jose Richard is blind and deaf, but Cesar helps him follow matches with a wooden board that serves as the pitch, and a sign language system they devised themselves. Incredible to watch.

I refuse to recognize Spain as world champions until they prove they can beat Cabo Verde.

A very pro-Messi crowd at Fanatics Fest. Some enjoyed it more than others…

I’ve seen a lot of wild things at Fanatics Fest, but Russell Wilson on a FIFA mini-pitch with a giant live snake around his neck has to be the wildest. So far.

Second wildest might be the Hartlepool United booth next to the Inter Milan booth.

Note to Spain for the final: Whatever you do, don't score until just before the ref blows the final whistle.

Why is MLS and the US Soccer Federation not having Messi wash babies in Miami 24/7?
So this could turn out to be a World Cup final.

Going back to the famous 1986 encounter, the team wearing their away kit has won the last three World Cup meetings between Argentina and England (Argentina in '86 and '98, England in '02). Mind games from Argentina to request to wear theirs?

Very cool that Ben Stiller’s character from Starsky & Hutch is coaching Switzerland.

Whoever invented the magical sensor inside the ball that says whatever FIFA wants it to is going to ask for a massive raise at their next review.

The United States is currently experiencing unprecedented levels of David Beckham exposure and the medical community has been concerningly quiet about what the long-term effects of that could be.

If you need something to watch with no matches tonight, I really can't recommend this strongly enough: Hero, the 1986 World Cup film. It's free on FIFA's youtube.
