I generally post about the ongoing pandemic and, of course, basset hounds. I gave up on politics. I stay anonymous because what I post may surprise or embarrass my friends, family, or employer who don’t agree with my opinions. Believe it or not. Makes no difference anyway.

Great show last night! Unique set list with an encore & band all in costumes. Son and I masked. Saw some others, including two guys in full Breaking Bad suits & dual cartridge respirators.

Another coworker from my old job died. 40 years old. “Natural causes”. Coworkers are dying at 5 times the previous rate since 2020. This is not natural.

OK people want to see the math. I don’t have data pre-2021 for Job #2, but I will add them together for post-2021. Job #1 1996-2021: 3 deaths 200 population 25 years Job #1 + Job #2 2021-2026: 4 deaths 300 total population 5 years (4/5/300)/(3/25/200) =4.44 Only 4.44? Relax!

I guess I’ve reached the age where the health benefits of eating granola have been outweighed by the risk of breaking a tooth while chewing it. Goodbye, granola. It’s not you it’s me.

Thank you sniffling curbside delivery person for gently clearing your throat instead of open-mouth coughing into the back of my car while you loaded the groceries. I really do appreciate it.

My cousin, age 55, was just admitted to a memory care facility after not being able to answer questions or even form sentences. Forgot where he lives and how to use his phone, too. These are terrible times.

Went to pick up my dog from the vet. Front counter person is the type that likes to laugh at her own jokes, only the laugh turned to a gasp and then to a full-on wet hacking coughing fit. The other workers don’t even look up. Why do people go to work like this?

Things I saw on my walk to the vet today: Bus driver wearing a surgical mask, parent open-mouth coughing as they left the daycare, daycare workers putting gloves but no masks, and kid with a pertussis-like cough on the way to elementary school. No masks at vet.

The only way you would know the truth about the Patterson-Gimlin footage is if you’ve spoken with Bob Gimlin in person. Fortunately many people have been able to do that ever since he began speaking publicly in 2003, at a conference in Willow Creek that I helped organize. He has probably spoken directly with a few thousand people around the country since then. The Patterson footage was definitely not a hoax, and Bob is far more credible and genuine than a couple of sleazy documentary producers. Patterson’s son, who was just a child at the time, has spent years trying to find a way to cash in on his family connection to the footage.

Boss almost loses it with a customer so now they’ve developed new communication protocols for us (AKA anger management training). And yes, they are just getting over what could be their 6th or 7th covid infection. The frontal lobe damage is real.

Went down a Christopher Cross rabbit hole last night and found out he almost died from Covid in 2020, had Long Covid, and then was diagnosed with GBS. He also had paralysis in his arms and legs. Guess where he is now. That’s right, he’s on tour.

Not one, not two, not three, but yes four good masks at Trader Joe’s today. One was a worker. Pointed at mine and gave him a 👍. Got “the nod” back. I wonder if Dawn took our picture?
