I'm pleased to announce I've not got a new job! Instead, this marks the 20th anniversay of faffing about as freelance. A big thanks to my clients for letting me play with stuff.

Trying to build a new PC. OMG, like suppliers have no idea when stuff was made! "Um, not sure due to stock rotation.". Not knowing BIOS? FFS brands like @ASUS put it on the freaking motherboard! Maybe they need to put it on the outside, but peeps need to read

FML, I was an AI skeptic, but between us we worked out how to troll bots and more snooping, currently at the HTTP/2 version of "I'm Henery the Eighth, I am! Henery the Eighth I am, I am!" 😂

Been hiding for a while. Will be seeing some of you (unless avoiding me) at #BrightonSEO in October. If avoiding me you still owe me a pint!

"Potential savings of 12 KiB" is something I can live with, especially as the workaround is 14K ... make it make sense!

God I love reviews; here's one for crown paint "Needs more coats than my aunt May on a chilly day in October" 😂

I'm beyond excited, a new ice cream shop in town opens tomorrow!

The one thing I have learned with going heavy on schema is the odd but cool side effects, like the SE gives you extras because it can work it all out. This is not "do X get Y", more a "here's how it all connects" approach.

Sorry if this is common; does anyone know in GSC anymore under Settings > Crawl stats > Crawl requests: Other agent type than 'Another Google crawler not specified here'? Curiously helpful, no idea what it's made of.

Had to help a friend out today, they use Wix, there is nothing more soul destroying as a dev than using a glorified point-and-click ... oh and they wanted to use superscript, no problem I thought, it's just ... that's a no from Wix😭.

Hey @hitchedcouk ... your DMs are closed and I can't find a way to contact you. Thought you might like to know you're hosting some serious junk, possible breach, unless you're into Indonesia lottery bookies as a side hustle? Pop me a DM for examples.

#PPC #SEO Would be interesting to hear from the PPC folks if ad clicks and costs are rising (and what changes are happening generally) as a result of the core update rolling out. RT's appreciated for reach (I don't know that many PPC folks)

"Where's the redirect list?" is something I hate to ask on a migration ... but there's no way in hell I'm making drastic changes without one 😂

That moment when you have to ask if the new SEO has been trying to get links knowing full well there's a tonne of 💩 which has started to appear since they started.

I love playing 'When was it built?' ... especially certain sectors, when the site builder has long since retired, and yet they still rank #1 in their industry! Kudos to them, if it ain't broke 😂
