Ross Kemp became emotional while speaking at London Poppy Day 2026 about the sacrifices made by British Armed Forces personnel. His message about the freedom not to wear a poppy, and why that freedom matters, is a powerful reminder of what Remembrance represents and why the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal deserves our support.

Paul Bowen, owner of Bowen Pies, appeared on Good Morning Britain this morning and gave a brutally straightforward account of what Chancellor John Healey's Budget means for small businesses. I don't think anyone could sum up the frustration of Britain's small business owners better than Paul has in these two minutes

Just been into Tesco and they've now turned the main conveyor belt tills into self-service checkouts. So you load your shopping onto the belt, scan it all yourself, then try to fit a trolley full of shopping onto a weighing area that's nowhere near big enough. So you're putting half of it back in the trolley, going back to scan the rest, then repeating the whole ridiculous process while a Tesco employee stands there watching you do the job they used to do! We're paying more for our shopping and now apparently we're expected to work there as well. Absolute madness. 😂

The Conservatives have apparently identified their ideal target voters. People who have absolutely no recollection of the last Conservative government. Unfortunately, finding enough people who slept through all 14 years could prove difficult. 😂

The government has committed £874 million to tackling homelessness and rough sleeping, but are we overlooking a much cheaper housing solution? At £30,000 each, £850 million could theoretically fund more than 28,000 compact modular homes before land, infrastructure and support costs. With thousands sleeping rough across England, why aren't we making better use of brownfield sites and relaxing planning restrictions to allow affordable prefab housing?

John Healey and the Labour Government are calling the Autumn Budget 2026 a budget for working people. But where is the real help for ordinary families and struggling British businesses? After everything Labour has already done to increase costs and put pressure on employers, this Budget does little to address the damage. A handful of targeted measures might help some people, but what about everyone else struggling with the cost of living, higher taxes and rising business expenses? Andy Burnham's Government can dress this up however it likes, but I’m not buying it. Britain needs genuine economic relief, not another round of political promises that fail to tackle the bigger problems.

Chancellor John Healey delivers the UK Budget on 28 October 2026, with household support and possible tax changes expected. But the Department for Transport has already removed 25 planned road schemes from its programme. As Labour announces new spending commitments, we examine what is being withdrawn elsewhere and whether ordinary households will genuinely benefit.

Angela Rayner faced some uncomfortable questions from Laura Kuenssberg ahead of the UK Budget on 28 October. Labour promises to ease the cost of living, but what about the impact of its own policies? From energy bills and VAT to employers' National Insurance and rising minimum wage costs, the pressure on households and British businesses hasn't disappeared. Every promise of savings raises the same question: how much of that money has already been taken away through higher costs and taxation?

Andy Burnham wants tomorrow's Budget to give ordinary families a bit of breathing space. Which sounds wonderful, until you remember the Treasury is involved. They might put a tenner in your left pocket, but I'd keep an eye on your right one. 😂

Britain's debt has passed £3 TRILLION. Yet the parties responsible keep lecturing Reform UK about economic costings. Tonight, I'm examining Reform's 36-page Economic Rescue Plan, its proposed tax cuts and how it intends to pay for them. Watch here: youtu.be/j5oH94pOjp0 #ReformUK #UKEconomy

I genuinely struggle to understand this left-wing mindset sometimes. And I've got absolutely no issue with Jack Dart. He's entitled to his opinions, just as I'm entitled to mine. But Jack, honestly, I've got a genuine question for you. What exactly do you see as a win here? You're celebrating because Reform UK have dropped a couple of points in an opinion poll. Brilliant. But what has that actually achieved for the British public? Are people suddenly better off? Are their bills getting cheaper? Are public services improving? Because I'm struggling to see what there is to celebrate. And what exactly are you fighting for, Jack? Another Labour government? The Liberal Democrats? Perhaps the Greens? Or is the entire objective simply to stop Reform UK? Because that's what I genuinely don't understand. Where's the alternative? Where are the policies that are actually going to make people's lives better? And this isn't just aimed at Jack. I'm asking anyone on the political left: what does success actually look like to you? Where do you see the problems in this country being fixed? Who's going to fix them? And how exactly are ordinary working people going to benefit? Because all I seem to hear is how important it is to stop Reform UK. Fine, you're entitled to that opinion. But stopping a political party isn't a solution to the problems facing this country. And quite frankly, I can't see much of an answer coming from Labour, the Liberal Democrats, the Greens or the Conservatives either. It's the same old politics, the same old promises, and people are expected to celebrate because one party has gone up in the polls while another has gone down. Jack, winning an argument against Reform UK doesn't mean you're winning anything for the British people. And that's the bit I'd genuinely like you, and everyone else celebrating these polls, to explain. #JackDart #UKPolitics #ReformUK #LabourParty #BritishPolitics #PoliticalDebate

Reform UK has unveiled 64 economic proposals ahead of John Healey's Autumn Budget 2026. Robert Jenrick's alternative economic plan includes tax-free overtime, a £150,000 VAT threshold, GDPR reform and cheaper energy for British businesses. Could Reform's approach finally make hard work pay?

John Healey is preparing his first Budget, and apparently the Treasury has discovered a revolutionary new approach to economic planning. No more embarrassing U-turns. Just a very large rubber. The stationery budget, ironically, has already doubled. 😂 #JohnHealey #AutumnBudget #UKEconomy #LabourGovernment #PoliticalSatire #BruceHamill

Prime Minister Andy Burnham and Chancellor John Healey have unveiled five everyday fixes ahead of the UK Autumn Budget 2026, including cheaper food imports and higher tax-free mileage allowances. But with the Treasury estimating food savings of up to just £21 a year, is Labour really tackling Britain's cost-of-living crisis?

Former Conservative candidate Jack Ross was secretly filmed in an Al Jazeera investigation apparently discussing contract killers. The Guardian and BBC have revealed his previous paid work for the Conservatives, including a reported connection to Kemi Badenoch's office. After the extensive coverage of Reform UK's undercover scandals, why hasn't this case attracted comparable attention?

The Government wants us prepared for 3 days of emergencies. Andy Burnham's stocking up on Twiglets, Angela Rayner's got the Sauvignon Blanc, and the rest of us are apparently meant to find a torch. There's a serious issue behind the comedy. Tonight's Daily Update 👇 youtu.be/tF8zXxk2m2o

Prime Minister Andy Burnham says Britain won't rejoin the European Union during this Parliament, but refuses to rule out EU membership appearing in Labour's next general election manifesto. Is Labour preparing to campaign for reversing Brexit, and what would rejoining mean for British sovereignty, immigration and EU contributions?

Prime Minister Andy Burnham backs the principle of Shabana Mahmood's earned settlement reforms as Labour ministers divide over a proposed 15-year wait for some migrants. Conservative shadow home secretary Chris Philp offers parliamentary support while questions grow over changes affecting existing migrants, indefinite leave to remain and Burnham's position on EU freedom of movement.

PollCheck's October 2026 polling puts Labour at 28.3% and the Conservatives at 22.1%, a combined 50.4% of voting intentions. Based on historical UK general election turnout, that could represent around 15 million votes. After decades of Labour and Conservative governments, why are so many people still prepared to support the same two parties?
