I think one of the sweetest things you can hear from someone you love is " I got you one too".
Maybe they stopped for a meatpie on their way home and got a second one bcos they knew you had ask for a bite or they heard sumtin funny at workplace and spent the whole journey home waiting to tell you. You werent even there, but somehow you were part of their day.
There is some fresh breathe about finding out you crossed someones mind while they were busy living their own life. And sumtimes the only ptoof you need is to hand them meatpie, then they open it and be like, oh! you thought about me.
