🚨 Alert Crust: Binance has paused withdrawals on multiple networks after a security incident. CoinDesk reports over $5.7B in suspected theft. Binance says user funds are safe. That is Binance's assurance, not proof that the money has been recovered.

Blockaid's analysis points to compromised hot-wallet keys. On Ethereum, an EIP-7702 authorization let attacker-controlled code run through Binance's wallet and sweep assets. How the attacker obtained signing access is still unconfirmed by Binance.

Tether says it froze over 1.567B USDT. Circle says it froze over 800M USDC. Frozen does not mean returned. Analysts also traced borrowing against USDT on Aave to obtain ETH. Ignore recovery links and unsolicited support messages. Use official Binance channels.

Think of an AI agent in payments like you think of a Tesla car. If the driver falls asleep at the wheel, they're still gonna be liable, right, for what happens with the car. So it's very similar.
