A football game is not a war zone! This is pathetic and must be condemned at all levels. My sincere thoughts with his family and friends.

Ruben Amorim to Man United was That kind of situation where God sends you a helper and u kill the person by urself with silly attitudes and antics. He brought back Culture and Standards at the club. He taught the players how to be hungry for the game. He made sure that every place earned his spot on the team No team has beat Liverpool at Anfield for some years now, but he did it with good football. But then the English Media, The man United Legends and some stupid fans came for him. Why? - He isn't English and not a Man United ex-player - He told Mainoo to train and develop better - He sent the bad eggs, Rashford and Garnacho out - He doesn't play the back Four - He was against entitlement mentality from Academy kids - He Plays a Back 3 and doesn't have the United DNA - He calls the board, INEOS and GLAZERS out It's funny now cos we have Micheal Carrick, who is a Man United ex-player, has the United DNA and plays both Mainoo and Rashford, doesn't talk to the club and even plays a Back 4, but still yet we are loosing. I don't want Carrick sacked ohh, i want us to enjoy Carrick Ball

On my way back to Gulu from Kitgum, where I had spent the better part of the day at the National Memory and Peace Documentation Centre, I decided to make a little detour to Aruu Falls. By the way, if you have never visited the National Memory and Peace Documentation Centre, you should. The team at @refugeelawproj has done an incredible job documenting and preserving Uganda’s experiences of conflict, transitional justice, and peacebuilding. There is so much history in that place, including stories we must never allow ourselves to forget. Anyway, back to Aruu Falls. I went there to sit, reflect, meditate, and have a little conversation with the gods. 🤣 Among the things I told them was that I had finally and successfully thrown away the English name I adopted in Primary Four. You see, as a little boy, I was embarrassed by my African name because other pupils laughed at me for not having an English one. So, to fit in and escape the mockery, I gave myself one. Imagine being made to feel ashamed of your own name, in your own country, by your own people! And imagine carrying that shame into adulthood without even realising how much it had shaped your identity. Well, it has taken me many years, but I have finally come full circle. I told the gods that I had returned to my roots, legally, culturally, and unapologetically. No borrowed identity. No shame. Just Ojok Okot, as my people intended. I hope the ancestors are pleased. 🤣 There is something deeply satisfying about making peace with the little boy you once were. Now, before I turn this into a whole sermon about identity and decolonisation, let me tell you something about Aruu Falls. For those planning to come to Gulu for the @TheGuluMarathon on 5th December, please do yourself a favour and include Aruu Falls on your itinerary. The water levels are relatively low at the moment, probably because of the unpredictable weather patterns, but the scenery is still absolutely beautiful. The fresh air, the rocks, the sound of flowing water, and the peaceful surroundings make it a wonderful place to spend a few hours away from the noise of everyday life. And you don’t have to figure out the trip yourself. My friends at @LoremiTours can put together a lovely tour experience that allows you to explore Aruu Falls and discover more of what northern Uganda has to offer. So, as you train for the marathon, start planning your trip too. Come for the run, stay for the experiences, discover the beauty of our region, and leave with stories worth telling. Northern Uganda has so much to offer, and I would love for more people to experience it. Gulu is calling. Come and see for yourself! 🥰👌🏾😍

Hepatitis C used to mean cirrhosis, cancer, liver transplant. Now it's 8–12 weeks of tablets and a cure rate over 95%. Science did that.

The Agago District Chairperson, Wilson Otto, has pleaded with Members of Parliament from Acholi sub-region to lobby for the upgrade of roads in the district. Mr Otto said that since its creation 16 years ago, the district does not have a single tarmacked road. #NTVNews 🎥James Owich

Every unintelligent public servant or politician is now rushing to pursue Doctorate Degrees, They believe having the prefix or honorific title "Dr." will mask their incompetence and impassivity. They believe the prefix will keep the public from questioning how they sat in class, wrote theses, defended them, and whether they ever gave academic lectures in their fields of study to genuinely earn these doctorate degrees. It is because academic institutions nowadays are business models. You pay them a hefty amount of money, and then they sell you a certificate. If you sit down with these latter-day doctorate civil servants or politicians, you will be shocked by their lack of intellect, poor language use, and open shallowness in their so-called area of doctoral study. None of them has the dexterity to publish research articles in newspapers and peer-reviewed journals. None of them has published any book. None of them can define the theory of philosophy with the equanimity of Stoic Philosophers like Marcus Aurelius. None of these politicians has the bravery and clarity to organise a public lecture. It is embarrassing.

Poultry business in Kenya: - A chicken (indigenous): Ksh 1,000 ( USD 8) - A cock (indigenous): Ksh 2,000 ( USD 15) - A pair of Guinea Fowl: Ksh 10,000 ( USD 77) - A pair of Geese: Ksh 8,000 ( USD 62) - A pair of Turkey: Ksh 12,000 ( USD 92) What you need: - A space, your rural farm - A simple structure - Water - Routine - Order - Discipline How many months to maturity? - 3 months to 6 months But what do young men do nowadays? - Masturbate - Bet - Buy Pizza and chips - Yell for politicians - Entertain random hoodrats online - Beg for handouts from useless politicians while insulting those he does not agree with. Then what next? - They come to social media crying about joblessness, depression and brokenness. If you think the world will sympathize with you, then you will wait forever. Simply having a diploma or degree does not make you a special man. The world wants to see your value and results, not your tears. Nobody cares. Change or Perish.

I passed by the Gulu City Youth Boxing Club, where I am a runaway trainee 😄, to catch up with my good friend Dragon, who is hosting a back-to-school boxing competition for young people at the club. Participants have come from across the Acholi sub-region, and every young person competing tonight will walk away with an assortment of school requirements to help them return to school. If you are looking for a local initiative worth supporting, the Gulu City Youth Boxing Club is one of them. Beyond boxing, they are keeping young people positively engaged during the holidays, teaching discipline and providing a space where they can develop their talent and confidence. They are doing great work with limited resources. With more support, they can reach even more young people. Support them. Help them grow. 🥊

What does it take to turn beekeeping into a viable business and a source of livelihoods? That is one of the questions bringing beekeepers, researchers, businesses and policymakers together in Kampala for the 4th Africa Regional Apimondia Symposium, organised by our partners @TUNADO_Bees under the theme “Beekeeping for business and livelihood.” We are part of these conversations because growing Uganda’s apiculture sector is about strengthening value chains, creating markets, adding product value, and helping young people build sustainable businesses. #EnablingChange #WeWorkUG #TeamEurope #GlobalGateway #AfRAS2026
