🚨🇺🇸 NBC is forecasting a 75-seat Democratic majority in the House, bigger than the 2006 Iraq backlash or the 2010 Tea Party wave
In 2006 Democrats picked up 31 seats on the Iraq War; in 2010 Republicans took 63 on Obamacare.
Tonight's wave ran through Texas, Kansas and the Carolinas on an eight-month Iran war and $4 gas, and NBC's exit poll had 62 percent of voters disapproving of the president.
A 75-seat margin means Jeffries doesn't need the socialists or the moderates to pass anything, it means the Iran oversight hearings start with a supermajority on every committee, and it means the 2028 map Republicans assumed for a decade got redrawn in one night.

David Bowie scored his second UK No. 1 album 53 years ago today, when Pin Ups went straight to the top of the chart on November 3, 1973. It stayed there for five weeks, matching Aladdin Sane's run earlier that year.
Released on October 19, only six months after Aladdin Sane, it was an album of covers of the bands David used to watch at London's Marquee between 1964 and 1967: the Pretty Things, Them, the Yardbirds, Pink Floyd, the Kinks, the Who and more.
Advance orders reached 150,000, and at one point six Bowie albums were on the UK chart at the same time.
⚡ Pin Ups gave David a No. 3 UK hit with "Sorrow." What's your favorite track? ⚡

Hollywood actress / singer Jayne Mansfield posing with a cricket bat. I have no idea why or when. Can anyone help? Despite her public image, Mansfield had an IQ over 150 and spoke five languages. She died in a car crash in 1967 aged 34.

The biggest waterfall on Earth has no spray, no roar and no viewing platform.
It runs along the sea floor between Greenland and Iceland, hundreds of metres beneath the waves, and moves more water than easily all of Earth’s rivers combined.

In Queensland, Australia, glider pilots literally surf a cloud. They fly at the Morning Glory, a roll cloud up to about 1,000 km (620 mi) long, switch off the engine and ride the rising air.
One pilot reckons fewer people have done it than have stood on Everest.

Celebrity cricket ... when Ian Botham moved to Worcester he brought with him his celebrity following. Here Jeff Lynne, George Harrison, Eric Clapton and Elton John on a balcony for a Worcester game. Given the wealth on show (as well as musical genius) what is surprising is that they appear to be drinking Blue Nun as can be seen by the open bottle at the bottom right (Graeme Morris)

Bea Arthur thought John Cleese was absolutely brilliant and so agreed to be in a 1983 American remake of Fawlty Towers called “Amanda’s By The Sea” as long as she could be as nasty as Basil Fawlty.
Sadly the network kept watering it down until she was playing Maude again.
13 episodes were produced, with 3 remaining unaired following the series' cancellation.
