This close up of Lucifugus' face is something i REALLY appreciated from the anime. It's like the void and you're staring right at it. Definitely raises the terrifying factor a lot.

Ik when ppl review stuff, they just talk about what catches their eye, but to think I saw 0 sakuga-based reviews even bring this up is wild... This is something that can apparently never be recreated in TV anime again because of the complexity and workload. No comments? Really?

In case my take gets misrepresented (intentionally or not), my problem is not with people thinking the recent episode wasn't good. My problem is that their reviews weren't substantive enough. My criticism of these reviews is of their form, not their nature.

If an episode can have a "can never be recreated" type aspect to it and accounts focused on analysing that very aspect of episodes never even touch on it in their so-called analysis, then clearly there's a quality problem when it comes to your analysis.

Actually, I was wrong. I guess it's inconsistent, but that's alright. The anime did depict the cocoons in the beginning of ep 4 This means they'll definitely try to put it in the anime wherever possible so even if it's inconsistent, it doesn't seem like they omitted it entirely.

The scale is even crazier in the anime, right? I was already super surprised by how large it was, but this is on some next level shit Also, there are no cocoons in the anime... Wish they had retained that detail from the manga. Even if its only visual it's a little plot relevant

4話は「象徴主義」でビジュアルを決めました。意図的に設計したのは以下の通りです。 ①ナハト父と母の後ろの額縁に描かれた絵 ②もし①と父と母を比喩のセットで考えた場合の、ナハトとモルゲンの象徴 ③氷漬けされたナハトのポーズ ④魔氷の形状 ⑤贖罪の碑のエフェクト形状 ⑥庭の薔薇は「花」だけじゃないはず ⑦家族写真に落ちた影の方向性 ⑧モルゲンが夢見た兄と二人で立つシーンのイメージ ①によって方向性を決めてから、背景チームは⑥と⑧の素晴らしいアドリブを出してくださいました。原作と比較してみると、一部の表現が違うことがわかります。これらの全てはナハトとタイトルを象徴するシンボルでした。 最後に、魔氷の設定は大変複雑で、TVシリーズでは二度と叶うことのない作り方です。業界用語でいうと、Bookが20個近くあります。暴力性そのものです。大変お忙しい中で辛抱強く作ってくださり、またクリエイティブな提案もしてくださって誠にありがとうございました。おかげさまで撮影映えがたくさんある作品となりました🙇‍♀️

WHOA!!!!! We were able to find a couple of things, but this is super cool info!! Also the director says the Demon Ice can never be recreated in a TV series because of the sheer complexity and workload. This episode needs a super in-depth analysis man. Incredible stuff here.
