maybe i’m too optimistic, but i do believe river and sid might have a happy ending at the end of slow horses!! he’s not making back to the park and i don’t think slough house will still exist by the end, so he’s either dying (which i don’t think so) or choosing sid at the end

i don’t think he’s dying bc it’s super likely that lamb will die by the end and i don’t think they’ll both get killed?? maybe river could end up losing sid, but their last conversation in clown town made me think that he will eventually wake up to how being MI5 hurt him

the way the sidriver reunion after 3 years showed that even though they had changed and lived through some hard trauma and grieving, their dynamic and banter stayed the same like... cause love's never lost when perspective is earned
