Since mid-August 2026, multiple MH-47G Chinooks belonging to the US Army’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) have reportedly been sighted across Southeast Asia.
The reason behind this activity remains unclear.

Two MH47Gs were recently spotted in Malaysia, having just arrived from the Philippines after rotating with another pair of MH47Gs. It is not publicly known why the Night Stalkers are currently operating inside Malaysia.

HIFI 11 departed Charleston Air Force Base and refuelled an E-4B as CLUB 22 from Offutt Air Force Base along AR-318.
CLUB 22 continued Eastwards to land at Andrews AFB after some circuit work, while HIFI 11 landed at Fairchild AFB.
FIST 51-52 which arrived in Alaska over the past two days are yet to move, but are also positioned for an E-4 support flight.
With CLUB 22 arriving at Andrews, this may be a SECDEF overseas visit.

Nagkasagian ang dalawang PAF planes, na may tail numbers na 032 at 037, sa gitna ng training flight saka bumagsak.
Sakay ng dalawang eroplano ang dalawang 1st lieutenant, isang kapitan at isang major. Ligtas namang nakalapag ang ibang eroplano na kasama sa pagsasanay.

WATCH: A Chinese warship was spotted in the waters between Basilan and Zamboanga City on Thursday, October 23, 2026.
Video footage taken by Jayne Amarado shows a Chinese warship passing through the Basilan Strait, carrying several Chinese military aircraft.
Amarado said they were surprised to see the massive Chinese warship passing near Basilan and Zamboanga City.
The Western Mindanao Naval Command confirmed that the vessel was part of the Liaoning Chinese aircraft carrier strike group spotted in the Basilan Strait.
The Chinese warships reportedly came from Palawan and passed through the Basilan Strait.
The Philippine Navy immediately deployed its naval assets to track and monitor the presence of the Chinese warships in the waters off Western Mindanao.
According to the Western Mindanao Naval Command, the Chinese warships did not respond to its radio challenges. Their Automatic Identification System (AIS), which transmits navigational information such as vessel name, Maritime Mobile Service Identity (MMSI), position, course, and speed, was also switched off.

Several Media Outlets Reported today that China's PLA Navy's "LIAONING" (CVN-16) Aircraft Carrier Has been Spotted Transiting Basilan Strait which is between Zamboanga City and Isabela City in the Sulu Sea of Philippines at Early Hours Today
Currently It is believed that 2 vessels are with Liaoning Aircraft Carrier.
