New Russian cruise missile: Filin
Available in two configurations:
- 50 kg warhead, 1,200 km range;
- 100 kg warhead, 700 km range.
Maximum flight speed is 800 km/h, with a maximum flight time of 90 minutes. Maximum flight altitude is 6 km. Accuracy is around +- 10 m.
The missile is produced by Molniya, the Russian UAV developer behind a cheap, mass-produced type of drone used for strike, reconnaissance, and logistics missions.
Russia is betting heavily on cheap cruise missiles launched from ground platforms, which broadens their possible uses and significantly saves the flight-hour resources of their combat aircraft.

Photos published by a Russian channel reportedly show a munition marked “K-3000,” which is believed to be the UAV-K-3000 manufactured by Ukrainian company Ukrainian Bomb Manufacture (UBM).
UBM lists the UAV-K-3000 as a cumulative munition designed for use with unmanned aerial vehicles. According to the manufacturer, it is intended to engage equipment, fortifications, concrete and earth-and-wood structures, as well as personnel.
The munition was already listed in the National Association of Ukrainian Defense Industries (NAUDI) catalogue for 2025 under inventory number 1325-61-017-9531. It therefore does not appear to be a newly developed system from 2026.

This is what the new Russian "Geran-5" looks like next to an older version of the "Shahed".
During maneuvers, Russian "Geran-5" drones already reach speeds of up to 1,000 km/h. Ukrainians have already recorded such cases.
Russia is focusing on speed and the mass production of cheap jet-powered drones and missiles ("Banderol", "Geran-5", "Dan-T", "Dan-M").
Ukraine urgently needs jet interceptors and its own budget cruise missile.
Russian UAVs with AI navigation are already being tested: in the future they will be able to find and attack targets fully autonomously.

An intact body of the upgraded version of the Russian Geran-5 low-cost cruise missile, called "Geran-5K5," was found in a field somewhere in Ukraine.
The Geran-5K5 upgrade adds an autonomous optical terrain-matching navigation system, allowing it fly and correct its course without satellite signals or continuous operator contact and making it far more resistant to electronic warfare. In addition to that, modifications focused on improving its aerodynamic performance relocate the turbojet engine inside the fuselage and introduce smaller swept wings with a revised tail to cut drag.
These adjustments aim to raise speed (Ukrainian estimates suggest up to ~900 km/h) while supporting higher altitude and potentially better range.
