High Temperatures today across the local area, most of these are New York State Mesonet observations. What a delightfully mild day.

No record high today at Albany, but it was close. 74° this afternoon at 3:17pm...the record of 76° still stands

Here's my latest Halloween Forecast...the day looks nice, cool, but with lots of sun and light wind. Mid 50s for highs with temperatures falling through the 40s during the evening trick or treat time period.

It's just a stellar day today...temperatures continue to climb well into the 60s.

It was a chilly one this morning with widespread 20s...not as chilly tonight with temperatures dropping back into the more seasonable 30s.

Jacket weather this evening, but otherwise it's delightful out there...and very pretty with the late October light this time of the day. This is the 5:07pm view from our Amsterdam Skycamera.

There is, as you would expect, some smoke in the air around the ongoing brush fire along the NY-MA border area between Berlin and New Ashford, MA. It's not enough to cause any widespread air quality issues, unless you're at the immediate fire site itself.

An early look at the weather for Halloween...looks pretty good, mild, light wind, dry

Albany shot up to 71° today, the 3rd time this month the temperature has reached at least 70°.

10 days and counting in the Capital Region with no rain....it's likely we'll go all week with no rain as well...next chance for something meaningful may not come until Sunday night or Monday.
