At #ATI validation workshop, Prof. @CBjola (@UniofOxford) spoke on how AI can help detect signs of fragility:
💬 The idea is to create scenarios with confidence levels that might point to political stress.
He noted that AI enables ATI to move from description to anticipation.

Excellent initiative @jorgeheinel. Extremely topical. Extremely timely.
Have known & collaborated with Prof @CBjola in another life. He’s top-tier. A true trailblazer. His insights on #DigitalDiplomacy & #AI are consistently ahead of the curve.
#AI is fundamentally reshaping #diplomacy. No longer just a tool. It’s fast becoming an autonomous force in global affairs, transforming negotiation, decision-making & strategic competition.
It’s already embedded in #defence doctrines. Machines are starting to outpace human cognition.
Control over algorithmic space now defines geopolitical power: economic, informational & military. How does the #GlobalSouth cope?
Unlike nukes, AI is diffuse & accessible. It can be weaponised in garages. Diplomacy must adapt & lead. The stakes are real.
Looking forward to #Bjola’s insights.

Joseph Nye has passed away. A towering figure in IR and the mind behind soft power, he profoundly shaped the way we understand global influence. His work has deeply influenced the field—and my own academic journey. An era ends.
