The age of going it alone is dead. At #TechNetIndoPacific, I asked industry to build with allies, not bolt them on later. Allied interoperability is not a technical convenience; it is the imperative behind every information advantage. Design combined from the first line of code.
Sustainment is not support to the fight. It is what enables us to fight and win. Today I challenged logisticians from 15 Nations at the 10th @UN_Command Logistics Symposium to deliver solutions and bring modern technology into our exercises. Endurance in theater is how we deter.

Spoke at the Second Annual Indo-Pacific Summit today. The ROK-U.S. Alliance has lasted over 70 years and is unlike any other in the world. My responsibility is to protect the homelands of both the Republic of Korea and the United States.
At #AUSA2026 with @USARPAC_CG and Tara Murphy Dougherty, I talked posture, protection and sustainment: the building blocks of endurance. My bottom line: If you can’t protect, you can’t fight. If you can’t sustain, regardless of the distances we’re dealing with, you can’t fight.
Sustainment starts with allies. The ROK has a premier defense industrial base. Regional sustainment hubs built around it let us fix equipment where we fight, not ship it home. We’ve got to try to achieve admirable endurance in theater by partnering alongside our allies. #AUSA2026
