Three myths about conflict, for Conflict Resolution Week. Myth: conflict means something is broken. Fact: conflict is normal. What matters is whether the people involved can talk about it. #ConflictResolutionWeek
Myth: a mediator decides who is right. Fact: the people in the dispute make the decisions. The mediator guides the conversation and helps each side be heard.
Myth: mediation only works if you like each other. Fact: it works when both sides are willing to talk. You don't have to agree. You have to be willing to listen.
