In line with the philosophy of Eurecat, as the principal technology centre in Spain, Cassandra aims to move beyond analysis and contribute to action-oriented, inclusive solutions for those most affected by climate-driven global challenges.

A special session organised for Cassandra by the European Economic and Social Committee of the European Commission will explore the urgent need for the recognition of climate refugees.

This online conference is fully interactive, allowing participants to speak directly live to panellists. It will bring together 60 speakers from local communities from Africa, the Mediterranean, India, and Asia, alongside international NGOs, universities, and research centres.

#CassandraConference seeks to provide tangible support and answers to those already suffering the dramatic consequences of a pathway that begins with climate change and leads to health crises, forced migration, the escalation of armed conflict, and worsening gender inequality.
