Strengthening the focus on Resource Adequacy and Demand Flexibility for reliable power planning.
Centre for Energy, Environment and People (CEEP), in collaboration with JVVNL, conducted a training programme at Vidyut Bhawan, Jaipur, for officials from JVVNL and RUVITL, with participation from 30+ officials.
The programme covered demand forecasting, resource adequacy assessment, Demand Flexibility / Demand Side Management (DF/DSM), and the relevant RERC regulatory frameworks.

#Submission | RVUNL filed a review petition before RERC against the Commission’s suo motu order of May 2026, which had halted all ongoing work for the installation of flue gas desulfurisation (FGD) systems, a technology for curbing sulphur emissions in thermal power plants. (1/3)
On 16th July, @CEEPIndia requested the Commission (RERC) to conduct the review petition and all hearings in the matter publicly. Subsequently, RERC invited public comments on the petition, and a public hearing on the matter is scheduled for 1st Sept 2026. (3/3)
CEEP's key submissions on the petition includes:
i. Commission should decide the matter expeditiously, given that continued suspension itself carries a cost.
ii. Costs of both cancellation & continuation could increase with prolonged litigation.
