The fact that you think Alonso started Estevao due to fan pressure shows you don't really understand what's going on.
Estevao started this game because of the opposition and our squad situation. Alonso hadn't started him against previous oppositions for the same reason.
He won't start Estevao against another high-intensity, physical, transitional side. Manchester United aren't a fit for that profile.
Estevao is being developed for those games, but he isn't ready yet and would be a liability unless he comes off the bench once intensity drops.
He did well because Alonso knew he'd suit this opposition. He still needs to improve his final-third decisions to force the coach's hand.
