The South El Monte City Council recently took unanimous action on key land use items affecting our community.

NOTICE OF CANCELLATION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Regular Meeting of the South El Monte City Council scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. is adjourned to November 17, 2026.

On Aug. 18, 2026, the South El Monte City Council voted 5–0 to deny a proposed project at 825 Lexington‑Gallatin Rd. The proposal included a General Plan Amendment, Zone Change, Subdivision/Tentative Map, and CUP for an industrial building and public park.
