Today is All Saints’ Day.
On this solemnity the Church rejoices in the entire company of the blessed—those formally recognized and the countless unknown who now see God face to face. It is a day that quietly insists holiness is not reserved for a few extraordinary lives, but is the vocation of every baptized person.
For a lighter or younger-audience entry into the season, consider the Catholic Teen Books anthology Shadows: Visible & Invisible.
This collection of short stories is set explicitly around Hallowtide (All Hallows’ Eve, All Saints’ Day, and All Souls’ Day). The tales blend suspense with thoughtful reflections on the afterlife, prayer for the dead, and the deeper meaning of these days, offering an accessible and engaging way to enter the mysteries the Church celebrates this week.

Friends, sanctity can seem like something that is the special preserve of a handful of spiritual heroes—and not the ordinary goal of the Christian life.
But the whole purpose of the Church—priesthood, the Mass, the sacraments, good preaching, the corporal and spiritual works of mercy—is to make saints.
There is only one real sadness in life: not to be a saint.
Don’t miss the opportunity.

Little in TV has interested me for about the past decade, but on the rare occasion I’d like to watch something, it’s incredibly frustrating that you need a separate subscription for every single thing you want to watch.

On the Feast of Saint John Paul II, we recall his encouragement and guidance: “Do not be afraid. Do not be satisfied with mediocrity. Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” Live today adventurously and watch what God will accomplish in and through you.

Happy feast of Blessed Karl of Austria, who said to his wife Zita on their wedding day of October 21, 1911: "Now we must get each other to heaven."
How many people can say the soundtrack of their first date with their spouse is available to stream 33 years later?

Surprise! We’ve pulled something special from the vault. To continue the celebration of The Clarks 40th Anniversary, today we’re dropping this live recording from the legendary Graffiti, performed on this date in 1993! Listen to the album here: tunelink.to/livefromgraffiti

Me, in the morning: I can’t wait to go to bed tonight!
Me, midday: If I could just close my eyes for 10 minutes…
Me, evening: So close! In a few more hours, I can sleep!
Me, at bedtime: Eh, what’s another half hour reading or doomscrolling? I’m not that tired.

Yellow jackets 🐝 don’t mess around. Stung my son 7 times. One even somehow remained trapped in his t-shirt.

40 years ago today, after a nightmare 1985 season, SNL fired 75% of its cast and filled it w/groundlings kids and stand ups.
The opening night was a Dana Carney tour de force.

Still at this awesome price! Less than $10 for 7 solid stories that are not only fun and a little spooky but emphasize Catholic tradition and the triduum of All Hallows' Even, All Saints Day, and All Souls Day.

I get the value of appointment reminders, but one should be sufficient. I really don't need concurrent reminders via app notification, text, email, and phone call for my dog's annual checkup with the vet.
