How can Kerala strengthen social security for its workers? 🏛️
Fragmented administrative systems, overlapping memberships and uneven access to benefits highlight the need for a more integrated approach to welfare delivery. The proposed reform, “One Board, One Worker, One Account,” envisions a unified social security framework with a common digital registry, portable worker accounts and streamlined claims procedures, while safeguarding existing entitlements.

On 24th and 25th October, CPPR Academy conducted the first edition of 'Policyshaala: Building Youth Reformers for Freedom and Prosperity' at NUALS, Kalamassery, a two-day workshop introducing students to how public policy is made, studied and communicated.
The sessions, led by our faculty Dr D. Dhanuraj and Rahul V Kumar, covered:
▶️ Foundations of public policy
▶️ Research methodologies
▶️ Public policy analysis
▶️ Policy writing and communication
The workshop was highly interactive, featuring lively discussions around case studies, including projects CPPR has worked on over the last 22 years, which helped connect theory to real policy practice.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr Anil R Nair and the team at NUALS for their support and hospitality, and to all the students who attended and brought such curiosity and energy to the room. You made this first edition a fruitful one!
