How do you handle a relationship with a friend when you always do damage control/keep the peace/ try to make things better or at the very least civil, and they take every opportunity to blow up and make things bad again. This is a friend you love dearly and want to maintain the relationship with and you know that it is just a bad time for them. (But it’s also a bad time for you)

Odd amount of traumatic life events that have happened around my Birthday in September, but the weird thing that happens now is basically just a 2 month manic episode that starts a little bit before and then I just wake up one day early November like holy shit what just happened and have to piece my life back together.
