My Address at the valedictory session of the 3-day "Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave" #ESTIC2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Key Takeaways: "At ESTIC 2026, I commend the coming together of a wide range of scientific disciplines and international experts, including Nobel laureates. Our future aim has to be to ensure that ESTIC progressively evolves into a globally recognised platform where researchers, academicians, innovators, StartUps and Investors reach out to seek opportunities to participate, collaborate and co-create. The success of India’s research and innovation ecosystem would increasingly be assessed through its tangible contributions to national development and the vision of 2047.   India's research priorities need to increasingly focus on indigenous resources, indigenous methodologies and indigenous technologies developed within the country. Let us disperse from here with a call for transformation through technology with tangible outcomes for common citizens, reaffirming PM Sh @NarendraModi ji's advice to work on measurable outcomes for the years to come".

Prime Minister Sh @narendramodi ji will inaugurate the ‘Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave’ #ESTIC2026 today at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The 3-day conclave, being held from October 27–29, will bring together leading scientific minds, researchers, innovators, StartUps and industry leaders to strengthen India’s technology ecosystem and advance the vision of Viksit Bharat.

#ESTIC2026

From the discovery of zero to the development of the number system and advancements in astronomy, India’s culture has always been rooted in knowledge and discovery. Today, we are carrying this scientific heritage forward with modern technology and renewed confidence. Recent examples from the past year help us better understand these transformations. On October 30th, as the nation prepares to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha, it is fitting that we begin with nuclear energy. As you all know, building a Viksit Bharat requires nuclear energy on a large scale. Our dependence on nuclear fuel exports poses a challenge to our energy security. Therefore, Bharat is developing its own fast breeder reactor technology. A couple of months ago, the country's 500 MW prototype fast breeder reactor achieved first criticality, a significant milestone in strengthening our long-term energy independence. -PM Sh @narendramodi. #ESTIC2026

Visited different stalls at the Exhibition put up at the "Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave" #ESTIC2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The exhibition features selected 50 deep-tech StartUps, 13 departmental stalls and 10 departmental technologies, reflecting the breadth of India’s scientific and technological capabilities. Among the exhibits, for example, is CSIR Designer Rice with high-protein, low-glycaemic-index particularly for use by those having Diabetes, developed at CSIR–National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Thiruvananthapuram. There is , for instance, an interesting StartUp developed Brain Electrode for management of Parkinson’s disease. The exhibition also showcases JEET, the SCMC4212 microcontroller unit developed by Signalchip, reflecting India's growing capabilities in indigenous semiconductor and electronic-system design. Other displays include bio-based packaging and reusable or application-specific products, illustrating the wider scope of innovation in materials and sustainability. The @narendramodi government has consistently reaffirmed its commitment to help StartUps link with industry.

Hosted ‘Global Connect Networking Gala Dinner’ last night, for the national and international delegates of the 3-day ‘Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave’ #ESTIC2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. For me personally, it was a highly gratifying experience visiting each table and individually acknowledging the presence of each invitee from different parts of the country and the world… working as StartUps or entrepreneurs, innovators or mentors…sharing a common meal and also sharing common dreams for the future.

Thanks, PM Shri @narendramodi ji for inaugurating the 3-day Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave #ESTIC2026. Your visionary leadership continues to propel India’s scientific progress, nurture innovation, and empower researchers to shape a future driven by science and technology, advancing our journey towards Viksit Bharat.
